Could Not Start The App Due To An Internal Error
in to vote Hi, Based on my research, this problem may be caused by permission, please check the permission of C:\ System Volume Information. Make sure the SYSTEM account is the owner of this folder. Then back up C:\system volume information\windowsserverbackup\global catalog, and delete it. 1. Open Windows Explorer, then open C partition. 2. Click Organize, chose Folder and search options. 3. Click View tag, uncheck the option –“Hide protected operating system files.(Recommend)”. 4. Click Ok to exit Folder Options. 5. Right Click “System Volume Information”, chose “Properites”. 6. Click “Security” tag, then click “Advanced” button. 7. Click “Owner” tag, then click “Edit” button. 8. Check whether the Current Owner is “SYSTEM”. If not, click “Other users or groups” button, change the location to local machine and type SYSTEM in “Enter the object name to select” box. Click OK. 9. Check “Replace owner on subcontainers and objects” then click OK. 10. Click OK to close the Advance dialog box. Then close the “Properites” dialog box. Notice: Please enable the option –&ldq

Windows 7: Windows Backup application could not start 15 Jul 2010 #1 sousabone3 Windows 7 1 posts Windows Backup application could not start I am getting due to a error that says "Windows Backup application could not start due to an internal error: Server execution failed (0x800800005)". I found a couple articles saying my account didnt have the rights to do a backup. I dont know how this could be since I have a weekly scheduled backup and havent had a problem and I havent changed my rights. Plus Im logged on due to an as a administrator. So the solution I found said this "Your Windows user account doesn't have the privileges it needs to run the task, Thomas. Go to Start, right-click Computer, then choose Manage, Local Users and Groups, Groups. Right-click Administrators and click 'Add to group', Add, Advanced, Find Now. Double-click Local Service and press Ok" Fix Backup & Restore when it won't start However Local users and Groups does not appear in my computer management. Im using Home Premium which is why I believe. Anyhow I dont plan to continue solely using windows backup either. Does anyone know how I can remedy this? Whether I actually do not have the appropriate rights? or What else could be my problem? Thanks alot.
