I have tried using Super Grub Disk, and all I get is "SGD has not done it" followed by error 15 or sometimes error 17. I have tried installing 8.04 with KDE3, checked all my disks for defects, and various terminal prompts found from looking up error 15 on here. Anyone got any ideas? en limpio ubuntu 8.04 no logro entrar en el sistema. Recibo el mensaje Error 15 Cuando trato de arreglar el arranque con el disco Super Grub Disk recibo el mensaje : SGD no lo ha conseguido. Cuando se esté cargando el Grub presiona Escape para abrir una lÃnea de comandos, digita esto: find /boot/grub/stage1 Te indicará en qué partición está, o te dirá File not found, si te indica https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=884872 la partición, prueba con el menu.lst. Cambia el root a la partición que te indique. Aunque claro, tendrás el Grub del último sistema instalado, asà que será ese el que tendrás que modificar, no sé bien cómo irá la cosa con dos Grubs. Tanto el de 32bits como el de 64bits y no tuve problemas intuyo que una vez tienes un sistema de arranque la nueva instalación lo acoge o lo lee de alguna manera. No tuve problemas en aquel entonces. Otro de los factores que estoy considerando es si Ubuntu tiene algún problema con discos grandes de 1 TB. Alguien sabe algo ? De qué modo puedo editar menu.lst por ejemplo con el live cd de instalación de ubuntu ? Es que creo que puedo arreglarlo, porque GRUB está leyendo un disco que no es el de arranque. If you can log in, check that the application server's system prompt is recognized by the login script. If you are using the standard SGD login scripts, check the system prompts defined in vars.exp. The login script might also be timing out. Increase the timeouts(prelogin) value in vars.exp and see if this fixes the problem.
