Error 15 File Not Found Windows 7

The install goes well, until just before the reboot, I get an error: No kernel packages were installed on your system. Your boot loader config has not been changed. Problem is, it's a clean install, new partitions on the error 15 file not found grub windows 7 HDD. There is only one HDD in the system at the time of install. Upon a reboot, I get: GRUB Loading stage1.5. GRUB loading, please wait... Error 15 And then the system locks. I can't do anything, save press CTRL-ALT-DEL. Once in the rescue mode, chroot /mnt/sysimage, the boot folder is missing menu.lst and grub.conf, etc is missing grub.conf. If I do a 'grub-install /dev/sda3' (The /boot partition), all seems to go well, but with no grub.conf / menu.lst, it won't work. I've tried to make a menu.lst, pointing to the /boot/vmimage-xxxx. Grub starts, but I just get a 'File not found error' and it allows me to edit my menu entries. I don't know if it makes a difference, if I have PAE at the end of my vmimage and initrd files, the Fedora installer decided that since I have 4Gb of RAM on that system. Amy help would be appreciated. Is there a way to completely reconfigure GRUB from the rescue command line, including a new grub.conf / menu.lst? Thanks.
