Error 15 File Not Found Linux Redhat
in to vote Hi, I have an Acer W500 Tablet running Windows 7. I was goofing around with error 15 file not found remix os it to see if I could dual boot Android (x86) software. I installed Android O/S (from http://www.android-x86.org/), which required installation of GRUB as a bootloader so I could go https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqB2vlzPEJE back/forth betweeen Windows and Android after the install. It worked finea few times (i.e. switching between O/Ss) but then just stopped. My Acer will power up, and I can reach the BIOS, but when I select the HD with Windows 7, it gives me "Error 15" with no further explanation. I have the acer install disks, so I https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/a64f863a-2725-4bb9-8c86-1f6368adfe5d/windows-7-wont-boot-up-error-15?forum=w7itprogeneral went into BIOs, rebooted from the DVDs, and re-installed Windows 7. But, even after the install was complete, when the computer rebooted from the HD it still gives me "Error 15" -- I Think Error 15 is a "file not found" error, it's as if BIOS doesn't is looking for windows in the wrong location (?). -- Maybe the GRUB bootloader I installed is mis-directing or overiding my BIOS somehow? -- My recovery disks do not over a "repair" option, only a re-installation of WIndows. Maybe I can buy/download a Windows 7 recovery console that allows me to check/repair the existing WIndows ? -- I've heard that "flashing" the BIOS might help repair any errors in the BIOS. I downloaded the latest BIOS from ACER to a flash drive, and tried to boot from the flash drive. But this doesn't work. Maybe I'm doing this incorrectly? Any/all suggestions would be appreciated.I'm not very comp savvy but am willing towork withspecific guidance. Thursday, April 05, 2012 7:55 PM Reply | Quote Answers

Tags: Windows 7 Last response: 18 November 2012 11:28 in Windows 7 Share ect63 18 November 2012 09:27:10 Hello, first off I'd like to thank you http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/58992-63-major-problem-boot for taking the time to help me. Now then, I have this major issue with windows 7. I have never had Linux installed on this machine, EVER. This problem has nothing to do with linux. Earlier today, I accidentally deleted a windows https://www.reddit.com/r/techsupport/comments/2cxzdd/win7_boot_error_15_file_not_found_grub4dos/ file called wedaolu. (I have the show win 7 files thing on.) So I was like "oh crap didn't mean to do that" so I took it out of the recylce bin and put it RIGHT back where it belonged on the error 15 C:\ drive. I played a few games and ended up shutting off my computer. About an hour ago I decided to turn it back on and do some more things but to my surprise I get this error. find --set-root --ignore-floppies --ignore-cd /wedaolu Error 15: File not found Press any key to continue.... I am then sent to a red screen with a bunch of options Windows with SLIC loader (default) Windows without loader so on and so forth most are useless options. One option error 15 file is the Grub command line. I do not know what the heck that is. I had made a backup of my files through the windows tool in case I needed to go back in time to that point. But I can't even access windows. Apparently this file is so holy that if you move it and put it back it refuses to work. As you can see I am getting extremely frustrated. Doing a full reinstall is NOT an option I am not going to delete hundreds of gigabytes of movies games and other various things. I just want to know if there is a command I can use like sfc /scannow in this grub menu to fix this garbage. Please help. Sorry if this is in the wrong area. After resolving the script I deleted many files.. which had the script and it including "wedaolu". On restart I realized that boot sector was damaged. Bootsect took care of it but I got NTLDR .. after taking care of the problem the boot up was okay and there is no trace of "wedaolu".. This obviously means this file is not useful to the system and hence could be threat if it has some java script running on it." http://systemexplorer.net/file-database/file/wedaolu/12... m 0 l ect63 18 November 2012 09:49:38 so do you think I shoul
