Posted by: 1234 Date: November 22, 2011 03:21AM Hello, I am on Win XP SP3, and have been using K-Meleon 1.5.4 for about a year. I connect to the internet via a LAN-network-cable.
Error 623 Windows 10
(direct internet connection) I have no VPN installed and haven't done anything visiontek the system could not find the phonebook entry for this connection to the old dial-up connection settings for a long long time. A month ago, I suddenly started to get error 623 cannot load dialog this Error Message: "Error 623 The System Could Not Find the Phone Book Entry for this Connection" when opening websites. It is really annoying, it comes up 20 times in https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/227391 a row and I have to click "ok" to get rid of the notice box all the time. But if did it finally, the webpage does load all right. Been waiting for it to vanish as it started, but it doesn't. Have googled this, but all advice focusses on a different Windows version (98 / 00) and dial-up, neither of which I http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?3,120265 use. Any help?? Thanks! I signed up with a new provider and I am getting this message under the Network and https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=184632 Dial-Up Connections window. Error 623: The System Could Not Find the Phonebook Entry for this Connection I can connect to the internet via dial-up but it periodically drops my connection and I get the above error message. I am still error 623 able to connect to my old dial-up provider and I don't get this error or get dropped. I'm skepitcal that it's the way I initially set up the new connection with the new provider. I found this link (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/227391/) to microsoft'ss website addressing the issue but it does no help me. It says to do the following; 1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Network and Dial-up Connections. 2. Right-click the Virtual Private Connection in question, and then error 623 windows click Properties. 3. Select the "Dial another connection first" check box, and then select the appropriate Dial-up connection from the drop-down list box. If there is no Dial-up connection to choose from in this location, you may have to create a Dial-up connection and then repeat these steps. BUT there is no option to "Dial another connection first" check box. It just doesn't exist. Not sure what to do next?? douglasdelay, Aug 27, 2006 #1 Sponsor hssonline Joined: Aug 22, 2006 Messages: 167 1. go to internet options of INTERNET EXPLORER (Tools ---Internet options) 2. put a check mark on "never dial a connection" in the connections tab. 3. uncheck the option for proxy server under LAN settings (connections tab). hssonline, Aug 28, 2006 #2 Dunko9 Joined: Apr 21, 2003 Messages: 320 hssonline said: 1. go to internet options of INTERNET EXPLORER (Tools ---Internet options) 2. put a check mark on "never dial a connection" in the connections tab. 3. uncheck the option for proxy server under LAN settings (connections tab).Click to expand... yeah i have trying, but same problems. nothing happened! douglasdelay said: Ok, I'm losing my patience with my dial-up connection.
