Posted August 9th, 2005, 2:23 pm I have been using (and enjoying) Firefox for quite a while with no problems. For the last several weeks however, when I navigate from one error 623 windows 8 page to the next, I am bombarded with the Windows error message “Error 623"
Vpn Error 623 Windows 7
– navigating to “bostonworks.boston.com” always gets the error(s). Navigating to the same pages with IE works as expected. This recent flood of

error messages makes it impossible to use Firefox. Microsoft help tells me this problem is VPN related. I am running “Windows XP Professional” and connecting to the internet through a Bellsouth DCL line. Is anyone https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/227391/ else seeing this problem? eleanor Posts: 1167Joined: March 5th, 2005, 6:55 pmLocation: California Posted August 9th, 2005, 3:13 pm Haven't seen any single definitive answer to this. I went through it myself, and I really don't know what finally fixed the problem. It's NOT necessarily a VPN issue. It gives me a better feel for the problem but nothing suggested in the links you posted gets rid of the error message. AI'm still muddling slong with the error messages popping up all over the plasce. It gives me the feeling thast someone over in Microsoft is having themselves a good chuckle. kenace0 Posts: 482Joined: August 14th, 2005, 9:04 amLocation: new mexico u.s.a. Posted August 14th, 2005, 4:12 pm have you cecked for spy/adware have you seen http://support.microsoft.com/default.as ... duct=winxp linguacious Guest Posted August 14th, 2005, 4:35 pm Yes, I saw this a few days ago. Microsoft seems to tie this problem to as VPN but I'm not using VPNs and others suggest it has nothing at all to do with VPNs (at least as it applies to this repetetive Error 623 when navigating). kenace0 Posts: 482Joined: August 14th, 2005, 9:04 amLocation: new mexico u.s.a. The "dial whenever a network connection is not present" is checked. Comment 3 Frank Pecher 2003-03-18 02:06:51 PST Yesterday I got the very same error when trying to subscribe to newsgroups on the servers news.mozilla.org and www.eclipse.org. Today, www.eclipse.org works without errors, and I can even download newsgoups from news.mozilla.org - after a single popup of the error 623, however. I know it's not much use reporting non
