Visiontek The System Could Not Find The Phonebook Entry For This Connection
Joined: Aug 10, 2007 Messages: 2 Foxylady I have got XP services pack 2 home edition and I have been having this error 623 cannot load dialog dialog box which says "Cannot load dialog. Error 623: The system could not find the phone book entry for this connection." It states that Network connections located the phone book but cannot find the specified connection entry. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-networking/error-623-system-could-not-find-the-phone-book/7bf5faa1-c76d-47e4-a4d5-d61d8d7e74fc It also states that this error should not occur unless another application is using the Network connection phone book and has specified an incorrect connection. I have tried microsoft's solution but I do not have a dial up connection so their solution was no good to me because I could not find the box "Dial another connection first neither could my partner who is a computer consultant. I have broadband wireless use Firefox https://forums.techguy.org/threads/cannot-load-dialog-error-623-the-system-could-not-find-the-phone-book-entry.609296/ latest version and AOL is my service provider. I have contacted broadband with no luck. I have contacted my service provider AOL with no luck they just keep passing the buck. I could not get onto AOL today so I used the fix me button and to my surprise the error went but it returned again later on in the day. I buy and sell on e-bay and I use the search facility quite a lot. It is becoming a pain because I have to keep closing down the error box otherwise nothing moves. Is this a bug in the system or what! foxylady, Aug 13, 2007 #1 roandrob Joined: Apr 15, 2008 Messages: 1 I had the same problem. I solved it by going to Control Panel / Internet Options / Connections and setting the dial setting to never dial a connection. It had been reset to dial when a connection is not available. Although this solved the problem I do not know why it thought there was no connection. Probably some security setting was blocking access to something trying to load. I am trying to set up Outlook 2010 on the new machine. I have checked (many times) that the settings are all correct yet each time I try to send and receive the receive function works ok but the send keeps giving error0x800ccc81. I have run scanpst.exe and a couple of freebie applications I found on Google, but I am still getting the same problem! Can anyone offer me advice as this is making the new PC worthless if she can't send her emails from it! The PC is running Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2010 (all other office apps seem to be fine) Thanks TJ Back to top BC AdBot (Login to Remove) BleepingComputer.com Register to remove ads #2 SamX5 SamX5 Members 62 posts OFFLINE Gender:Male Location:UK Local time:06:06 AM Posted 01 May 2014 - 04:31 PM What type of account are you using?
