It is a Dimension B110. I pressed F12, got the boot device menu. Do not see a "dell diganostics" option of the 8 items. These are the options - 1) Normal, 2) Primary Master Drive, 3) Diskette Drive, 4) Hard-disk drive C:, 5) EDI CD-ROM device, 6) System setup, 7) IDE drive diagnostics, and 8) Boot to utility partition. And I am running Windows XP. Like 0 Reply You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. If the system sees the other drive, then the problem is in the disk drive and not in the computer. If the problem is found to be in the disk drive, check the drive select jumpers on the drive. The drive should be set to "cable select" and attached to the last ("master") connector on the cable. I have, however, seen a few older Maxtor drives that fail to respond when set to "cable select," but run successfully when set to "master." 0 LVL 33 Overall: Level 33 Windows XP 5 PCs 1 Desktops_PCs 1 Message Expert Comment by:CarlWarner2010-07-02 This would seem to be more of a hardware issue than a Windows XP issue. >> i connected 80 GB IDE Maxtor Ha
