How is this related to slip streaming? First I heard how to fix hard disk failure on laptop about that.....Click to expand... Game is reading that you are braking really really slighty, but it's removing slipstream effect. I've just got my brand new G27. I was little bit scared after this thread, but no problems so far I'm on PC, everything hard disk failure error message (except breaking dead zone) to 0%, in profiler I set Overall Effects to 107%, Spring and Damper to 0%, enable centering spring YES, but 0%. FFB settings alre 60-90-90. Wheel don't match in-game wheel, but for me that's good. Steering Linearity around 10% would be OK too. Hard Disk Failure Symptoms
pc , ps3 with f1 2011 Nov 2, 2011 #204 3smil Hello!! i'm having an issue with my G27 + PC: I'm using the Mark Schilling's Setup (A Good one BTW) But my problem is that when i'm playing sometimes my wheel suddenly shakes to the left or to the right (Totally random i guess), and i dont feel the curbs or grass or when i'm off road, just the heaviness of the wheel. But when i play in windowed mode, (Like Brn said), the wheel works like a charm; i feel the curbs, grass and when i'm of road and i don't have that random shakes. My question is, why is that happening? is there something i can do as i don't want to play in windowed mode. Thanks Nov 2, 2011 #205 Maurie King Couple of questions 1 Are you running the Profiler to keep your settings and start your game from it ? 2 Have you got reasonable settings in both the profiler and Game 3 What Race Sim? 4 Having everything at 0% dead zone will not necessarily be good ( depends on the car and track sometimes) In profiler set Overall Effects to 115% Global , Spring 50 % and Damper to 150%, enable centering spring YES, but 50%. Deg rot 900. Whats this FFB settings are 60-90-90. ? Why you even have the wheel in game showing I don't understand but it is a personal preference. I got http://www.racedepartment.com/threads/logitech-g27-settings.36245/page-11 a T500 today, changed that, then before trying anything downloaded the 1.4 patch. I was using Jack Spade's settings with the FFB files. But in straight ahead I have almost uncontrollable vibration, anything other than straight ahead it's fine. I've removed all deadzone settings, renamed the FFB folder in my documents and no improvement. THis is with the Formula A car at Monza. TO make sure I hadn't got a faulty wheel, as it is THAT bad, I http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?30974-Big-problem-with-new-T500-terrible-vibration-on-straight-line tried AC, after configuring everything for the new wheel it feels exactly the same as my TX but stronger. need developer's immediate attention. If you come across any of the below mentioned errors, crashes or performance issues, you can follow the workarounds to resolve these. 1# DiRT 3 - Profile Creation Failed The following message is received when first http://segmentnext.com/2011/05/24/dirt-3-crashes-save-bug-controller-fix-steering-wheel-errors-freezes/ logging into the game: "Profile Creation Failed - You must be signed into Live to create a new save for your profile". Whenever you create a new profile in the game - which will allow you to save your https://steamcommunity.com/app/211500/discussions/1/828939164212239617/ progress - you must be logged into Windows Live. It is not possible to create a new profile in the game if using an offline profile. The first time you create a profile you will be asked for the hard disk Windows Live Key that comes with your game. 2# How to Setup a Controller in DiRT 3 Firstly make sure that your controller is plugged in and functioning correctly in Windows and that you have downloaded and installed the latest drivers for the device from the manufacturer's website. You should also ensure that no schemes or profiles are running for your controller. If you are using a steering wheel, we recommend that you set the pedal axes to "separate" hard disk failure rather than combined. This can be done using the software for the wheel itself (e.g. Logitech's Wingman software). From the game's main menu, select options - controls. Here you can choose between automatic and manual transmission and choose your Advanced Wheel Settings if using a wheel. If you have one of the officially supported controllers (see notes below) you can choose to load a preset configuration for this device, or for the keyboard, or If you wish to create your own custom settings or setup an un-recognized controller, scroll down to each function you want to re-define and press enter, then move your controller or press the button you wish to use. The new function should now appear in the list. Do this for all of the functions you wish to change and, when you are happy with the settings, press escape. If you wish to adjust your force or vibration settings, you can do this from the Vibration and Feedback menu. Notes In the Advanced Wheel Settings, Dead Zone is the amount you can steer the wheel (or press a pedal) before it has any effect. Saturation is the amount you can steer the wheel before it reaches full lock. The officially tested and supported controllers are as follows: Xbox 360 Controller for Windows Logitech Rumblepad 2 Thrustmaster Run'n'Drive Run'n' Drive Rumble Force Thrustmaster T-Mini 3-In-1 Dual Trigger 3-In-1 Thrustmaster Dual Analog 3 (ens
