Everything seemed to have been going beautifully, but I thought it seemed a tad bit slow loading up windows, after it boots up and loads everything seems to be perfectly normal though. Then today, I get home from work, and my girlfriend told me that the computer has been constantly popping up this error hard disk message window, I turned the computer on and as soon as it booted the error popped up. It says "Windows detected a hard disk problem. Back up your files immediately to prevent information loss, and then contact computer manufacturer to determine if you need to repair or replace the disk." Then it gives me options to backup, or ask again later. The hard drive is brand new, I just built this hard disk error rig this last weekend. I just finally finished getting all of my games, programs, music, all that crap on it. I would hate to have to send it back for RMA with it being so new. I just don't know what I should do at this point, I ran a quick scan for malware and there was no detections. Is there some sort of scanner I can download to verify that the hard drive is failing? The hard drive is a Seagate Baracuda 500gb drive, it is the only drive I have in the PC. I need a little advice here. Thanks a lot for any thoughts or input on the matter! More about : windows detected hard disk problem Rockdpm 19 February 2013 07:26:11 Well obviously just back up your files and run a disk check.
