Primary Master Hard Disk Error Dell
E-2 I'm not sure what the problem is but all of the sudden my primary master hard disk error windows 7 computer isn't booting. It was working just fine last night and nothing looked weird when it was shutting down. I came back from work http://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?board_id=1&model=P5QL-VM+EPU&id=20101228080226836&page=1&SLanguage=en-us not too long ago and turned on the computer and I was stuck at the very first screen with all the following displayed: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AMIBIOS (C) 2005 American Megatrends, Inc. Now when booting my Window 7 pc I get the message of "Primary Master Hard Disk Error" that is followed with Press F1 to resume. After I do this the pc will boot. I've ruled hard disk out a physical hard drive error and now I'm at a dead end. Could this be something in the BIOS settings? Is there something missing within the Windows boot record - although I don't think this is the problem since the machine ultimately does boot.I'm open to any/all suggestions to keep from pulling my hair out trying to figure this out.
