It's had a faulty power supply and recently a faulty hard drive. Had both of these faulty hardwares replaced and then recently it began blue screening again whilst playing Dragon Age. This started occurring after installing mods so I uninstalled them assuming it was the cause, however a couple of days later the computer would not boot at all. I reinstalled Windows and for a few days it http://www.sevenforums.com/bsod-help-support/251637-bsod-0x00000124-uncorrectable-hardware-error.html has been fine but today it blue screened again whilst playing a game. It was an "uncorrectable hardware error" with error code 0x0124, I managed to figure out the previous problems but I have no clue what is causing it this time. Any help is much appreciated as University starts soon and I'm studying 3D Animation so really need this computer to be running perfectly.. Many thanks! IN THIS DISCUSSION Join the Community! Creating your account only takes a few minutes. Join Now We have a windows 2008 server that crashes during backup. We run Backup exec 12.5 with a quantum super loader. Randomly during the backup it crashes, its always during the backup. Before the crash, there are no errors, no warnings. After hardware error the crash, a few errors: i8042prt not loaded < no big deal just keyboard driver WHEA-Logger, < this I have no clue what it is, Message sates " An uncorrected hardware error occurred. A record describing the condition is contained in the data section of the event." That's it no other errors. How would I go about diagnosising this? I appreciate any help I can get. Here is an article that talks about the WHEA errors: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff560537(v=vs.85).aspx. If the server is physical, try the following: Run a CHKDSK on the drives. Reseat the memory modules. If you have spares or can run on less memory, try changing the memory or removing one module at a time and see if there is any difference. Reseat the processor(s). If the drives are RAID'd, reseat the RAID controller and the cables. 0 Thai Pepper OP Elgin8949 Jul 6, 2012 at 8:24 UTC It's physical. Running CHKDSK now. 0 Thai Pepper OP Elgin8949 Jul 6, 2012 at 8:26 UTC CHKDSK returned no errors on any drives. Can a SCSI card cause this? 0 Jalapeno OP mays316 Jul 6, 2012 at 8:29 UTC It could if it is defective or if the drivers are not correct/compatible. Is the SCSI card used for the backup process or anything critical? 0 Jalapeno OP mays316 Jul 6, 2012 at 8:31 UTC BTW...did you run the chkdsk with the /F option? Also, did you tell it to scan the physical sectors? I can't
