source database ‘D:\Temp\tempdb.edb’ failed with Jet error -1032. The error code –1032 points to JET_ERRFileAccessDenied, which tells us that I cannot access the file, as the file is locked or in use. This is the first time I noticed the issue at my end. When I investigated further I realized the issue jet_errfileaccessdenied cannot access file - I have mounted the database and ran the ESEUtil. The database needs to be offline to read the header information. So I dismounted the database and ran the ESEUtil worked like a charm – bingo!! Happy debugging!! Running Server 2008 R2 and Exchange 2010. - Dismounted mailbox database - Attempted ESEUtil command but got error jet error 1032 "Operation terminated with error -1032, JET_errFileAccessDenied, Cannot access file, the file is locked or in use" I've rebooted the server, checked antivirus/backup systems to see if they may be locking the file, re-mounted/dismounted database again, stopped every Exchange service except information store service; no change. I ran Process Explorer but was unable to find any process that have a lock on this file. Confirmed this with LockHunter program also. Verified my account has full control permissions on file. Any ideas? Jeff 0 Question by:garner-it Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 10 Best Solution byKorbus Can you run ESEutil on your copy?
