If it is a self-designed program, it might be related to the coding. you'd better post it in the office for developers forum If the problem also occurs in other programs, mapi32.dll might be corrupted. try to run fixmapi.exe Sincerely Wednesday, April 13, 2011 8:41 AM Reply | Quote 0 Sign in to vote Hello Thanks for the info. Unfortunatley I am not the one writting the code. I had a feeling that the code might be the problem. They use an embedded VB code that they call within the program. I already t

If you have multiple email programs installed in Windows and sending MLS reports out of CTI Navigator Desktop is encountering a MAPI or unspecified error, one or more email programs may be interfering with MAPI delivering messages internally to your preferred default email program, or Windows no longer associates MAPI with your preferred program. First ensure that the correct email program is set http://www.ctimls.com/support/kb/error%20fixes/fix_mapi_error.htm as the default Email Handler for Windows. To set the default mail handler in Windows 10 or 8.1, right-click on Start > select Control Panel > Default Programs > Set your default programs > click on the appropriate email program in the list > select "Choose defaults for this program" > under MAPI, check "Send Mail" and click Save > click on the appropriate email program in the list (again) > select Set this program as default> OK. This error displays when sending an attachment via Word using the File > Save & Send > Send as Attachment, or any other ways of doing the same mapi error thing (e.g. "Email" in quick access toolbar). However, and this is important, it doesn't happen all the time. It's fine for a while then it suddenly starts happening. A restart of the computer fixes it temporarily, then it starts happening again. This is the one thing that differentiates my issue with everything I've found via Googling. This is only one mapi error outlook user out of about 100 that is experiencing this. I've recreated Windows profile, and even swapped their computer but the issue still remains. I've tried: - Closing Word and Outlook and reopening - Reinstalling Office - Recreating profile - Setting up user on different computer - Turning off caching of shared folders in Outlook - Moving subfolders out of Inbox in Outlook My last resort, which I haven't got around to yet will be reimaging the computer with the stock Windows image. However since we've swapped the user's computer and he's the only one with the issue, I believe it must be something to do with his profile, whether it be his Outlook mailbox, or something else unique to him. Any ideas and suggestions are most welcome! Solved MAPI SignOn failure in Server 2003 for Small Business Posted on 2007-11-26 Visual Basic Classic Programming 2 Verified Solutions 21 Comments 972 Views Last Modified: 2013-12-25 I have a well-used (prox 300 clients) VB6 app that receives and sends emails for many purposes. For several years, it's successfully used the MAPI system for this purpose. Suddenly, I have a client using Windows Server for Small Business 2003 (SP2), and on his there's a problem I've been unable to resolve. Specifically, the MAPISession.SignOn method immediately produces an error 32002 (unspecified failure has occurred). He's using Outlook Express as the email client (yes, it's set as the Windows default email program, and yes, it works perfectly when accessed directly). MSMapi32.OCX is correctly installed and registered in his Windows/System32 folder. It's Ver 6.0.81.69, dated June 24, 1998, and yes, I've tried unregistering and re-registering it. I've also tried all possible parameters on settings for the few properties that exist for the MAPISession control, and varying sequences of implementation. All sorts of variations work just fine in every other machine I test, but not in this one. If you want a code sample, it can be as simple as: MAPISession1.SignOn or as complex as: With MAPISession1 .NewSession = True .UserName = "xxxxxx" .Password = "xxxxxx" .DownLoadMail = False .LogonUI = False .SignOn End With Or, the code could be any of many other variations. Regardless, as the SignOn method is invoked, the error triggers immediately. A solution to this will be greatly appreciated. 0 Question by:gladeross Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 74 Best Solution byJeffrey Kane - TechSoEasy I think you don't quite understand how email works...
