map the local drive C client that connects to my server 2008R2 Terminal 64bit or by GPO or by script, I mean; - If I map the client local driveC on the client connection RDP, it works, everything is OK. But I will not do so, the user will receive only rdp file generated by the server that will launch the application directly, so I want map her local C drive automatically so he can save the application data etc from his remote computer. I get this error; When I start the client I see the drive with a red X, "Failed to connect, has attempted to access an address not validate" I tried to map it by script "net use \ \ tsclient \ c P", by policy as well, within "allocation units" without success ..... Someone gives me a hand? Thank you! 2- Is there any way to hide the Windows security item from start menu? I try to configure a policy like this; http://technet.microsoft.com/es-es/library/cc770884%28v=ws.10%29.aspx But does not work, any idea?? RE: remapping com1 but get System Error 87 TechyMcSe2k (TechnicalUser) 22 Dec 08 17:17 what is the "change port /D com1" trying to do?if it is to delete that port and then remap it, shouldn't it be:net use com1 /DELETEnet use com1 \\tsclient\com1I may have misunderstood. RE: remapping com1 but get System Error 87 hydruid (Programmer) (OP) 8 Jan 09 17:50 Tried what you said and the same thing happened. I used the change port to try and automatically map it for each user when they logged in but have switched to using only net use Correctly asked questions will receive a better answer.
