I have used both a mapped network drive and the UNC path for this backup (as shown below): Xcopy b:\ G:\AS400\8-9-11 /E/C/F/G/H/Y Xcopy \\192.168.30.2\qsys G:\AS400\8-9-11 /E/C/F/G/H/Y I https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/27247704/File-creation-error-The-system-cannot-find-the-path-specified-while-running-an-xcopy-file-copy-command-from-an-AS-400-to-a-Server-2008-server.html have also included screenshots of the Command prompt windows showing the file copying process. Also, I have included a screenshot of the mapped network drive (B:) which is mapped to the AS/400 file share. If I try to use the Windows Explorer copy command (by selecting all of the files on the remote AS/400 server (which is mapped using either a network drive or using the UNC convention, either drive G: or \\192.168.30.2\qsys, The copy process takes a couple seconds to complete but the end result is that there are no files or folders copied at all. We need to be able to backup the files contained within the qsys folder on the AS/400 server. What needs to be done to fix this issue? xcopy-mapped-network-drive-conve.png xcopy-UNC-convention.png AS-400-file-share.png 0 Question by:Knowledgeable Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 13 Active 1 day ago Best Solution byKini pradeep how about copying from AS400 to windows share, is that working. This is definitely issue of overall too long folder path+file name as I was able to fix this by shortening file name/folders name in the path to the file. However Filezilla opened the same file without changes without problem. This error was replicated several times on Windows 10 computer with WinSCP 5.7.5 and 5.7.6 HOWEVER I was not able to replicate it properly on Windows Vista - is it possible it has something to do with too long file path in temp folder on local computer created by WinSCP?
