Cmd.exe The System Cannot Find The Path Specified
with IE 10 (Windows 8). The next error appeared in breeze.debug.js: Unhandled exception at line 13707, column 13 in http://localhost:49795/scripts/breeze.debug.js 0x80070003 - JavaScript runtime error: The system cannot find the path specified. The section of error: if (typeof (localStorage) != 'undefined') { var mongoMachineId = parseInt(localStorage['mongoMachineId']); //The error appeared here if (mongoMachineId >= 0 && mongoMachineId <= 16777215) { machine = Math.floor(localStorage['mongoMachineId']); } // Just always stick the value in. localStorage['mongoMachineId'] = machine; document.cookie = 'mongoMachineId=' ie the system cannot find the path specified + machine + ';expires=Tue, 19 Jan 2038 05:00:00 GMT'; } The problem is typeof (localStorage) != 'undefined' was true because typeof (localStorage) was equal 'unknown' when the exception "The system cannot find the path specified." appeared. I didn't know how to reproduce this error exactly, because maybe It was random error of localStorage. I had deleted all browser history and all work fine again, but later the error persist in IE10, Google Chrome 27 and Firefox21. Please any help will be appreciated. local-storage breeze share|improve this question asked Jun 22 '13 at 16:31 kuskunko 194316 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 1 down vote accepted There was a bug in 1.3.5 related to something similar. Please try out 1.3.6, available now, on the Breeze Web Site. I think it will fix the issue. share|improve this answer answered Jun 24 '13 at 5:02 Jay Traband 16.2k11441 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest Name Email Post as a guest Name Email discard By posting your answer, you agree to the privacy policy and terms of service. the browser. Internet Options -> Advanced Tab -> Enabled DOM Storage Also Internet Options -> set to accept all cookies Still no localStorage .. How https://grekai.wordpress.com/2013/02/24/localstorage-the-system-cannot-find-the-path-specified/ do I retrieve the lost part of IE ? How to restore localStorage ? Found the solution in Introduction to Web Storage “Clearing the Storage Areas Session state is released as http://discuss.cocos2d-x.org/t/solved-error-3-the-system-cannot-find-the-path-specified-n-a/23751 soon as the last window to reference that data is closed. However, users can clear storage areas at any time by selecting Delete Browsing History from the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, the system selecting the Cookies check box, and clicking OK. This clears session and local storage areas for all domains that are not in the Favorites folder and resets the storage quotas in the registry. Clear the Preserve Favorite Site Data check box to delete all storage areas, regardless of source. To delete key/value pairs from a storage list, iterate over the collection with removeItem or the system cannot use clear to remove all items at once. Keep in mind that changes to a local storage area are saved to disk asynchronously.” Apparently what did the trick at the end was the clearing of the Preserve Favorite Site Data check box .
