doesn't fit what I was expecting. If you get this then you probably need to raise a support call (see http://support.microsoft.com for options available to you) - or search through the KBs to see if there is a fix for the an unexpected error has occurred sharepoint 2007 specific problem you are seeing (depending when you read this there may or may not be fixes up there right now). But for some potential immediate relief from the problem here are a few tips that may at least get that page displaying again. The problem could occur on a number of different pages - but just to give some context lets talk about the "My Tasks" page. This will be displaying the "My Assignments" view by default, but in fact as this an unexpected error has occurred sharepoint 2013 central administration web part loads the SQLstored procedurebehind the scenes will be bringing in data for any of the views that a specific user has access to from the drop down of views. So even if "My Assignments" is the default - if you also havea custom view in the list that perhaps includes some custom fields then this data will also have been retrieved (and could be the culprit!). Soidentifying the bad data will help us with your support call and also hopefully get that page working again.Thinking in rows and columns - any customization will be changing the columns - and the rows will depend on things such as date ranges, tasks and assignments. So things you can try:- If it is a web part page then go to the Web Part Maintenance and either reset the part - or remove it and then add it back again. This will have the effect of defaulting the web page settings and if the bad data happened to be beyond the "current tasks" range or other filter specific to the part this may get things working. This isn't a fix - just avoiding the bad stuff for now. If you have customized then try removing any additional custom fields or other added fields from the view. Again this isn't a fix, and certainly the customizations shouldn't lead to errors - but it may at least allow you to continue working. Try removing some rows that could be causing th

These types of problems can often only be fixed by an unexpected the webmaster (SharePoint admin) or someone at your company. If you're a SharePoint admin, webmaster, or site manager, and your users are asking questions about correlation IDs, this can help you. What a correlation ID is and isn't The correlation ID is not an error number or code. Simply, it's a GUID (globally unique identifier) that's automatically generated for every request that the SharePoint server receives. It's unique to each request, not an unexpected error each error. However when an error occurs, the error message contains the correlation ID that was valid for the request at the time. It is meant to be used to help a SharePoint Admin trace what was happening at the time of an error. It is only valuable as an interactive tool to help the Admin track down your error. An Admin uses the correlation ID as "breadcrumbs" to retrace a requests or processes in the SharePoint Unified Logging System (ULS) to find what leads up to and causes a problem. If SharePoint gets an error that it can't identify while working on that task, it posts an "Unexpected error has occurred" message, and includes the correlation ID. The correlation ID can help find out what happened but doesn't identify what happened. Successful requests are tagged with a correlation ID as well as failed ones. The ID is unique and different for every new request, and only lasts the duration of the request. It is not like a Windows error which gives you an 80xxxxxx number that identifies the exact problem. It doesn't help to search for a specific correlation ID on the web, as every single one is different and unique to your server and that point in time. Where a correla

In the sort of situation you're describing, I'd drop all the way back and look at all of the components. Gary's reply is a great place to start to see if what you're experiencing is transient or easily correctable. If a reboot and quick look at IIS doesn't cut it, here's how I'd start troubleshooting: Look at the event logs (Application and System event logs, specifically) on the web front-ends (WFEs) for your SharePoint farm. Are they pointing to any problems that line-up with requests you're making for SharePoint pages? If a SharePoint problem is due to something beyond SharePoint (e.g., IIS, ASP.NET, etc.), it will usually surface in the event logs. Grab ULS Log Viewer if you don't have it (http://ulsviewer.codeplex.com/) if you don't have it. Fire up the application and watch SharePoint's U
