SOLUTION: To resolve this problem, you will need to remove the Times New Roman font from the Fonts folder. To do so, follow the steps below: Open the Macintosh Hard Disk folder; then open the Systems folder. Open the "Fonts" folder and drag the "Times New Roman" font to the Desktop. You should now be able to enter text in the GOO room. All of the documents on my desktop just disappeared. You can see the filename and a dotted box above it but if you double click, they disappear and you get an error message: "The operation could not be completed. An unexpected error occurred (error code -1401)." I have searched and cannot find anything about error code -1401 Please help! I had to create a new profile and manually migrate my files, Apps and everything else to it. It was a pain but it worked.
