(rsInternalError) SQL Server > SQL Server sql server reporting services error does not have required permissions Reporting Services, Power View Question 0 Sign in to vote Hi all, Our application that uses Reporting Services for it's Reports. On one customers build it appears to keep falling over. Restarting the server seems to resolve the problem for a short period and then it happens again. The exception that is returned to our application is "An unexpected error occured in report processing. (rsInternalError)" The customer has sent me the log files from C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Data\Reporting Services\Logs I've tied the time that the issue occurs to this section w3wp!chunks!1!04/11/2008-10:27:35:: e ERROR: GetChunkPointerAndLength: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Database 'ReportServerTempDB' cannot be opened due to inaccessible files or insufficient memory or disk space. See the SQL Server errorlog for details. and w3wp!processing!1!04/11/2008-10:27:35:: e ERROR: Throwing Microsoft.ReportingServices.ReportProcessing.ReportProcessingException: An unexpected error occurred in Report Processing., ; Info: Microsoft.ReportingServices.ReportProcessing.ReportProcessingException: An unexpected error occurred in Report Processing. ---> System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Database 'ReportServerTempDB' cannot be opened due to inaccessible files or insufficient memory or disk space. See the SQL Server errorlog for details. I doubt that the disk is full as our database is sitting on the same drive and presumably the whole system would have stopped working by now. Any thoughts as to what the problem might be?We've not seen this before. Cheers, Chris

We are using a new Report Server 2008 R2 with a few users. One user is member of the role "Content Manager", but could not deploy a report. When I tried it, it was no problem. The user tried it a second time and could deploy the report. Everything seems fine. The https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/sqlserver/en-US/52d4141b-6eec-47bc-a326-83ac9e5f3ee1/an-unexpected-error-occured-in-report-processing-rsinternalerror?forum=sqlreportingservices problem is fixed. Really? No! A few hours later the user could neither deploy the same report again, nor any other report. Each time there was a dump created and I could see the following lines in the Report Server error log: library!ReportServer_0-38!42b4!03/08/2012-13:28:29:: Call to http://www.insidesql.org/blogs/cmu/sql_server/an-unexpected-error-occurred-in-report-processing CreateReportAction(TEST, /MyFolder, True). processing!ReportServer_0-38!42b4!03/08/2012-13:28:29:: e ERROR: Throwing Microsoft.ReportingServices.ReportProcessing.
