An unexpected MAPI error occurred - Catalog not found - PVS 7.6 Started by Balaji Muthukrishnan , 02 November 2015 - 01:44 PM Login to Reply PVD PVS 7.6 1 reply to this topic Best Answer Balaji Muthukrishnan , 04 November 2015 - 06:39 AM It seems when creating PVD targets using xendesktop setup wizard it creates machine catalog and device collection with the name specified in the wizard. it was altered/deleted renamed by one of the admin. after that we were unable to promote the vdisk. because of it machine catalog id was not matching with the one in the delivery group. so to resolve it either we need to run the xendesktop setup wizard (PVS console)again and recreate the catalog and device collection again if you have fewer VMs or in the respective device collection map a different vdisk or a dummy disk to the targets and then try promote the versioned/maintenance disk. after the disk was promoted then try remap the correct/original vdisk for the targets. After i have installed the console and the PVS server i get this error message when i try to login to the farm. An unexpected MAPI error occurred Name translation: Could not find the name or insufficient right to see name. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80072116) I have tried to connect to the PVS farm with IP adress, FQDN and localhost If i change the credentials to the Stream and Soap service account I can logon to the farm. My username is domain admin and is member of the PVS admin group that i specified under installation.
