This is a new problem. Several line of business applications either give database connectivity errors or lock up https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/938106 entirely. I was looking to blame one LOB app in particular because it was recently upgraded, however, I have also noticed a problem in general windows. Most notably, I receive errors for offline folders during sync: "An unexpected network error occurred." We have many shared folders on the server that I sync to my local machine so https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/648da214-ceef-4761-9814-38525bb76210/need-help-with-intermittent-network-connectivity-issues?forum=w7itpronetworking that they are indexed. To me, this points to either a problem with the server, the client, or the network. Have tried the following without success: 1. Turned off IP offload on both client and server. 2. I have turned off jumbo frames on both client and server. 3. I have reduced the link speed on the network from 1Gb to 100Mb. 4. I have tried pinging the server with varying size packets. Most respond <1ms. However, rvery once in a while, I get packets that take 3 and 4ms. I have no idea what else I can do to troubleshoot, but I am pulling my hair out. Any assistance is appreciated. Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following: 1. Update the NIC driver. 2. Enable NetBIOS over T
2 laptops running windows 7, 2 desktops running windows xp; 1 network printer; 1 wired router and 1 wireless router. I have mapped network drives whichsync continuously. All computers run norton is. Workgroup has been stable for several months. Until one day http://windows.ifmdb.com/n5114dMj-unable-to-sync-mapped-drive.html last week i was able to connect to internet, entire workgroup, sync files on mapped drives, print, etc. On that day last week i visited a client's office and tried to connect to my email (pop3) through client's wireless guest access, but access was denied. The next day when i returned to my office i was able only to connect to the internet. I was unable to find or connect to other computers using their name and an unexpected unable tosync mapped drives. My computer is no longer shown in the workgroup on the other computers. I can find and connect with the other computers using their network address, but cannot sync mapped drives. The problem seems like a file name recognition problem in file sharing function. What happened and how can i fix it? View Full Post With 5 Replies Related Forum Messages: Please Follow Index to Quick Jump to the Message.
