this issue: FIX: 1. Create a New Message 2. In the To:, CC:, and BCC:, fields, type the name of the offending distribution list, the one you are using when you get the error. 3. Once the list of DLs is displayed, delete the one that gives you the problem. You are not actually deleting the list, just the shortcut link to it. 4. Click on the TO, CC or BCC link to bring up the Select Names dialogue. 5. Select the offending DL for the To CC or BCC field and click OK. 6. Send your email 7. next time yo usend email you can type the DL right in on the New Message page and it will now be linked to the correct DL in the address book. You can resolve this error by creating a new list. Don't try to select the DL automatically, because it will just pick up the old one. Go to your contacts list and and select the new distribution list from there. Good Luck.

My new distribution list https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/20951068/Unexpected-Error-has-Occurred-when-I-press-the-send-button-on-MS-Outlook.html did not exist. THAT is when I put the list name in the to field, the OLD list name was coming up (which was very similar to the new list name). once I limited it to the new list name, all was fine. an unexpected Cindy wrote: > This error keeps occurring. Does it happen in all the email accounts that you have got (assuming you have more than one) Disable firewall or any anti-spam software temporarily and check if it would work Make sure you donot have set rules or add-ins that might cause this issue Try doing "Detect and repair" going to help menu before sending the email and check if it will solve the issue Try going inside outlook in safe mode (start --> run --> outlook /safe) and try sending message..
