Being Moderated There should be an error log with the plain text. This error log is using the \DS\bin\errormsg.txt file to format the error text mixing in strings from underlying systems, e.g. database errors. My point is, normally you do not have to translate the BODI number, it is shown. About which error are we talking? Is it the trace log of a running job? Alert Moderator Like (0) Re: Data Services error code description Gaurav Pandit Sep 23,

2009 4:04 AM (in response to Werner Daehn) Currently Being Moderated Thanks Werner. That was helpful. The errors I mentioned occurred when Designer (on Windows) crashed. When that happened, there was no plain text, just two BODI errors. And I think those numbers may not be found in the errorlist you mentioned.I now know what may have caused it - I was running a debug session on Designer, and left it be for about two hours while I was not working on it. Meanwhile, the local repository database connection was lost and I had to kill the Designer. When I restarted it, I got above errors. After multiple tries to start Designer, it finally worked - not sure what caused it to work, though.Later, I also noticed that the debug process was still active on the Job Server, which I had to kill (with kill -9 command). The file you mentioned was helpful. I also found "Log" directory with few dump files later. I think the Designer core dumped when those errors occurred. I will update this post if II run into the problem again and note down the error messages. Thanks,Gaurav Alert Moderator Like (0) Go to original post Tweet Actions Login to follow, like, comment, share and bookmark content.
