two queries as follows:query 1 (project info): work_id, project_manager, description, RAG, status, ....query 2 (project financials): work_id, multi value error in webi crosstab report EET, POCNow, CHE, ....I am trying to put the follwing columns under one block:work_id, project_manager, description, RAG, status, EET, POCNowI was only able to put EET and POCNow http://businessintelligence.ittoolbox.com/groups/technical-functional/businessobjects-reportinganalysis-l/how-to-avoid-multivalue-error-796296 in the same block and display value when I created detailed objects for EET, and POCNow since they are from query 2The block described above exists under a section (created at project sub-group level) and displays these values for a list of projects under each section. For most of the sections, this works totally fine..but for few https://scn.sap.com/thread/1342303 sections its creation another row in the block at the bottom where it displays #MULTIVALUEDoes someone know what this error specifcally means here as #MULTIVALUE is used quite generaically in many cases.Appreciate any pointers which will allow me troubleshooting this errorThanks!Terri 21903Views Re: Multivalue Error Guest May 15, 2009 1:47 PM (in response to Terri Ho) Currently Being Moderated HI Terry,#MUlTIVALUE error occurs if one try to put multiple values in a single cell. The particular cell where you are getting #MULTIVALUE is having expression which returns more than one value. To avoid this you can follow the belwo steps:-1> Select the entire block and go to Edit Format >> Under display check the option "Avoid duplicate row aggregration".OR 2> Check if the value returned by expression has to be some aggregated values then use MAX(), MIN(), AVG(),... functions.OR3> We need to write context for this expression.Let say your variable A displays #MULTIVALUE in the report than use the below context.Create a Variable B = A foreach(\[Unique Object\])here \[Unique Objec
using Reporting Tools like WebIntelligence,Crystal reports Saturday, June 11, 2016 #MULTIVALUE Error In Operatoris used to specify exactly which dimensions to include in a context. Other http://bo-reports.blogspot.com/2016/06/multivalue-error.html dimensions in the block are ignored. Adding / removing elements from the block does not impact this calculation unless a removed dimension was specified in the context. In that case a #MULTIVALUE error is displayed. If there are multiple rows in a report with what appears to be the same data, and the measure being displayed is business objects not set at the universe level to automatically aggregate, theMULTIVALUEerror will appear. Use measure objects that are named "SUM", if they exist - e.g.,SUM Actual Month (BAL)rather thanActual Month (BAL)in the FINQUERY Balances folder. This ensures that the balance amount will be properly aggregated based on the dimension objects selected in your query. Create your own variable error in webi to sum the measure within the table (you'll need to do this in all tables in the report, though). Within the table properties in InfoView or Webi, check the box to under Display to "Avoid duplicate rows aggregation". Note that this feature only exists for tables, and not crosstabs. Note:Every measure object should be defined Aggregate function inselectstatement Note:use Proper Calculation context syntax Example: 1) #multivalue in aggregation 2) #multivalue in breaks header or footer 3) #multivalue in section level. 1:-- the o/p context not include i/p context its situation this error occurs. Ex: in a report i have year, city dia's & Revenue measure is there. =
