All other functions of BI platform seem to be working. Has anyone els had any experience with this issue or any thoughts or suggestions. We receive this error when trying to connect to the Enterprise server from out local machines: Transport error: Communication failure.(FWM 00001). We do NOT have any problems logging into BI Platform or pinging the sever from our laptops. The BI Platform 4.1 instance has been recently loaded. We did import all of our report objects from the old system to this system. They run, but we cannot upload new reports. 2385Views Re: Transport error: Communication failure.(FWM 00001) Onkar Velhal Jun 4, 2015 1:13 AM (in response to Jeff Guge) Currently Being Moderated Hi Jeff,Check if firewall is blocking connection. Also try connecting through the Administrative account. share|improve this answer answered Jan 17 '13 at 19:57 Ryan M 275211 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using

Our firewall is open for the ports 6400 and 8080 (as default). The log shows that the network packages are sent between the client and server. The request is reaching the CMS as 6400 (BO server port) is enable but the Clients are not getting the business objects response back as the request port is not enabled on the Firewall. On CMS there are two ports:one is Name Server portthe other is the Request Port, by default the name server port is assigned the port 6400and the request will reach the CMS when thename serveris enabled on the firewall. The problem is that Web/client application cannot communicate as business objects xi the Request port is unaware and the firewall port is not open for communication. SolutionIn order to solve this problem you have to assign a static port for the CMS Request port in CMS properties via CMC and enable the firewall for this port also. You have also to enable the IFRS port on the firewall.See also:related postFwm-00001-Usr0013 errorsFWM 00001 Transport error: Communication failure.BUSINESS OBJECTS ERRORS LIST Share this:TwitterFacebookLike this:Like Loading...
