A simple remedy for this is to open a new (blank) Access database, import all of your objects (forms, reports, queries, etc.) into this new database, and see if the problem still persists. If it does, then at least cannot open database you can eliminate corruption as a possibility. Earlier versions of Access have a menu option somewhere for bringing external data or objects into the current file. Anyway, a dialog will come up allowing you to navigate to the old file and select it. When you do, you'll just select everything in the list that comes up and import it all. If it is a corruption issue, which does happen from time to time with Access, this should fix it.
