However last night I did the below steps and voila, my WSUS 3.0 SP1 is working. I've manually synced it twice with both syncs working. Also, all my computers are reporting to the WSUS box beautifully.Tthe true test will be if it syncs on it's own tonight. Here's what I did: Run the "WSUSSetup_30SP1_x86.exe" (WSUS 3.0 SP1 setup) file again. The wizard will ask to remove the database, the IIS page and the WSUS logs - I ticked off all three. When that is done, make sure the "C:\WSUS" and "C:\Program Files\Update Services" folders are removed. If not, rename them (for example, "WSUS" to "WSUS_" and "Update Services" to "Update Services_"). Your might have to install and run Windows Install Cleanup (msicuu2.exe) to make sure WSUS 3.0 SP1 is completely removed. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301 Rerun the "WSUSSetup_30SP1_x86.exe" file. Setup WSUS 3.0 SP1 to your liking. Run the Sync. If it works, remove the "WSUS_" and the "Update Services_"
