The database that is causing this error no longer exists and i need to know how to tell sharepoint to stop trying to connect to this database that it doesnt need anymore.- It is currently using a DB called STS_servername_448260875- Event ID 1000 is connect to the being caused because it is unable to contact database STS_servername_732946780- The error event ID 1000 is being thrown up once every hour to the second.I inherited this issue with my job and i am just trying to keep the event logs clean so i do not know what the previous configuration was nor do i have very much knowledge about sharepoint but from my limited point of view it looks like maybe sharepoint was upgraded at one point and a new DB was created....Any help is greatly appreciated.
