This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool. I granted activation permission to all of them but still get these errors. The first two applications are from fdPHost and the third one here is from homegroupProvider if this is any help. What could cause these errors? I checked a https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/099d2cad-ca09-4489-b1e8-4457f6fe9c5d/distributedcom-errors-event-id-10016?forum=w7itpronetworking hundred times if the security settings changed for the user but everything is granted. My computer seems to work OK but I still would like to get rid of these errors. Monitor an unlimited number of servers with $49/year With the current low prices for servers and the need for processing power, even a small company may end http://www.eventid.net/display-eventid-10016-source-DCOM-eventno-4718-phase-1.htm up with quite a few of them. If ten years ago it https://shauncassells.wordpress.com/2015/09/28/windows-10-event-10016-fix-the-application-specific-permission-settings-do-not-grant-local-activation-permission-for-the-com-server-application-with-clsid-d63b10c5-bb46-4990-a94f-e40b9d520160-and-a/ was still common to see an entire company using just one server, these days that's no longer the case. New computers are added to the network with the understanding that they will be taken care of by the admins. Keeping an eye on these servers is a tedious, dcom error time-consuming process. Even with 5 minutes per server (to check the logs and other parameters), it may take an hour to make sure that everything is ok and no "red lights" are blinking on any of the servers. read more... COM Server application with CLSID {D63B10C5-BB46-4990-A94F-E40B9D520160} and APPID {9CA88EE3-ACB7-47C8-AFC4-AB702511C276} to the user NT AUTHORITY\LOCAL SERVICE SID (S-1-5-19) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.Ia Ran into a lot of DCOM (DistributedCOM) errors on Windows 10 machines after upgrades. Looks like the TrustedInstaller from a previous application and the RunTime Broker did not give System and Local Administrators permission during a Windows 10 upgrade. It just an annoying thing but also slows down a windows 10 Login. The Error The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID {D63B10C5-BB46-4990-A94F-E40B9D520160} and APPID {9CA88EE3-ACB7-47C8-AFC4-AB702511C276} to the user NT AUTHORITY\LOCAL SERVICE SID (S-1-5-19) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool. Background It would appear that an Apple application was installed on these machines at some point and that it did not do a proper install. The W10 upgrade exacerbated the issue due to missing security accounts after a W10 upgrade. The fix is to give local administrators and System rights to the DCOM. To do this you have to modify premissions on two registry keys and then change the DCOM premissions. Pretty easy to do. FIX Regedit Take Ownership You will need to take ownership then set rights against two different keys. The keys are: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID\{9CA88EE3-ACB7-47c8-AFC4-AB702511C276} HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D
