TIA Ian bselvindurai05-24-2002, 10:31 AMHi, I error 1334 the file cannot be installed had a working project, I just modified it to delete some files and add quickbooks error 1334 the file cannot be installed some files. After which the Build process was successful. But on running the setup.exe, I get this ERROR 1334 "The File xxxxxx error 1334 solidworks cannot be installed, because the file cannot be found in the DATA1.CAB" Any ideas...why this is happening. Thanks ChrisCoble05-24-2002, 02:25 PMI'm having this same problem. Has anyone come up with a solution yet? God, do I installshield error 1334 have to go back to 7.02 or something? yan00005-24-2002, 02:39 PMThe same story with my installation, but in addition, file SHOULD NOT be in cabinet at all. It is excluded by a release flag. And it fails not on all machines. ChrisCoble05-24-2002, 02:41 PMWith 7.03 installed, just add/remove some files from a project. I've built my setup on WinXP, and it installs properly on XP as well. When I take that self extracting

exe over to a WinME box, I get the 1334 error. PLEASE, can a developer addresses this issue ASAP? A workaround, anything? Starting from scrach and recreating my install is not a solution for me, to much time invested in getting the installer setup properly. Only days away from release now and a bug prevents me from creating a releasable install. For now all I can do is uninstall 7.03 and salvage an old 7.02 project file and hopefully I can remember everything I've changed in the project since I installed 7.03. Makes me wonder if I'll ever install a maintenance release again, it just takes the product backward. RichAquino05-24-2002, 05:15 PMHi All, From reading thru the community posts, I highly doubt that this issue is specific to 7.03. So, rolling back to 7.02 would probably be a waste of time. I noticed in a few of the posts, that the file name was of the form: "_AndSomeGarbledCharacters". Because of that, my first guess is that this has something to do with dynamic file linking. As for why it happens on one system, but not another... That's odd, and may contradict my dynamic file linking theory. My first thought is that the file's component has a condition on it that is not being met on the "working

2705. Directory ★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★ Soumitra MondalJanuary 13, 201220 0 0 0 The recent release of Microsoft Security Bulletin MS11-100 KB2656353 might fail on Windows XP/Windows 2003 systems. The patch may fail https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/smondal/2012/01/13/ms11-100-kb2656353-error-microsoft-net-framework-1-1-internal-error-2705-directory/ with an error message: “Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 -- Internal Error 2705. Directory” In fact, if you try to repair existing .Net Framework 1.1, you would receive the same error message: “Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 -- Internal Error 2705. Directory” The above error message indicates that there is a directory tree definition problem on the machine (a directory references a parent that isn’t defined). After error 1334 digging it further, I found why the failure is happening. The root cause is that KB2656353 requires .Net Framework 1.1 SP1 to be registered against the .Net Framework 1.1 product, but it was not. Even though Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 SP1 may appear in add/remove programs, it may not be registered. To determine if SP1 is registered check the install log. As per the install error 1334 the LOG: We do not see the 1.1 SP1 patch in the sequence. MSI (s) (7C:1C) [15:58:37:948]: Final Patch Application Order: MSI (s) (7C:1C) [15:58:37:948]: {2A3320D6-C805-4280-B423-B665BDE33D8F} - MSI (s) (7C:1C) [15:58:37:948]: {EFCE7BE0-510E-4932-9475-F44CD90DE16A} – .Net 1.1 SP1 is {411EDCF7-755D-414E-A74B-3DCD6583F589} and is missing from this list. Resolution: Just installingMicrosoft .Net Framework 1.1 SP1 patch should resolve this issue. Please install Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 SP1 http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=33 on the system and then install KB2656353. I can't just reapply SP1 via WSUS. Reply Soumitra Mondal says: January 17, 2012 at 8:55 pm Why can't you reapply SP1 via WSUS? Reply mark kaylor says: January 21, 2012 at 4:07 p
