Error 1334. The Cabinet File Data1.cab
follows: "Error 1334. The file 'xxx.xxx' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in the cabinet file 'Data1.cab'. This could indicate a network error reading the cdrom, or a problem with this package." The file is present on the system. I have looked at the security settings, both the 'system' & 'everyone' users, all have admin rights. I have check all the paths, variables & the table editor, all looks correct. I have even repackaged the same app a second time around, the same error message appears but on a different file. One was an .exe and the other a .dll. They have no com settings, no file extensions. I have removed both files from the MSI & re-added them, same error message appears. I have even remove the file from the package, but the error appears on a different file in the package. These packages, both compile & are validated correctly with NO errors being produced. I am installing the MSI package on another PC, with admin rights. The error message appears when the msi is copying files. Can some one help me.......! nicholas_ong08-09-2002, 06:59 AMWhen you compiled your package, is it compressed or uncompressed? On installation, are you running it from a network location? Have you tried copying the entire MSI to your local drive and executing from there? Just a few suggestions, hope it helps. magpie08-11-2002, 11:55 PMThe package is compressed. The package is compiled on one PC, then I have shared this directory, then connected to it from the other PC. (How I normally do it) I then have copied it to the local drive, but it still isn't working Ughhh! nicholas_ong08-12-2002, 08:12 AMI feel for ya, btw what application is this? AlaksSevugan08-20-2002, 04:12 PMWhat is the name of the file that the MSi is displaying an error for? Did you make sure that file is in the cab? magp
AMHelp! I'm getting an error 1334 running my setup where it says a file is not found in the data1.cab. I've checked and the file is in the data1.cab. Any ideas anyone? TIA Ian bselvindurai05-24-2002, 10:31 AMHi, I had a working project, I just modified it to delete some files and add some files. After which the Build process was successful. But on running the setup.exe, I get this ERROR 1334 "The File xxxxxx cannot be installed, because the file cannot be found in the DATA1.CAB" Any ideas...why this is happening. Thanks ChrisCoble05-24-2002, 02:25 PMI'm having this same problem. Has anyone come up with a solution yet? God, do I have to go back to 7.02 http://community.flexerasoftware.com/archive/index.php?t-100115.html or something? yan00005-24-2002, 02:39 PMThe same story with my installation, but in addition, file SHOULD NOT be in cabinet at all. It is excluded by a release flag. And it fails not on all machines. ChrisCoble05-24-2002, 02:41 PMWith 7.03 installed, just add/remove some files from a project. I've built my setup on WinXP, and it installs properly on XP as well. When I take that self extracting exe over to a WinME box, I get http://community.flexerasoftware.com/archive/index.php?t-96263.html the 1334 error. PLEASE, can a developer addresses this issue ASAP? A workaround, anything? Starting from scrach and recreating my install is not a solution for me, to much time invested in getting the installer setup properly. Only days away from release now and a bug prevents me from creating a releasable install. For now all I can do is uninstall 7.03 and salvage an old 7.02 project file and hopefully I can remember everything I've changed in the project since I installed 7.03. Makes me wonder if I'll ever install a maintenance release again, it just takes the product backward. RichAquino05-24-2002, 05:15 PMHi All, From reading thru the community posts, I highly doubt that this issue is specific to 7.03. So, rolling back to 7.02 would probably be a waste of time. I noticed in a few of the posts, that the file name was of the form: "_AndSomeGarbledCharacters". Because of that, my first guess is that this has something to do with dynamic file linking. As for why it happens on one system, but not another... That's odd, and may contradict my dynamic file linking theory. My first thought is that the file's component has a condition on it that is not being met on the "working" system. On possible example is a condition like "Version9X". Another possibility is that CAB extraction

Receiving the error 1334 when applying the 10.1.3 update. swankydope Jul 11, 2012 3:54 PM I had the same error code when updating on multiple systems on our network. Most (except for 1) of the computers are windows 7 error 1334. the systems. We're using Acrobat X Standard and I was updating from 10.0.0 to 10.1.3. I ran the update on 30 systems and only had issues on 5 of them (1 windows xp). The other 25 system were running windows xp. I can not find any reliable information online on what this error means or how to fix it. I did try a suggestion from another site to try each incremental update from 10.0.1 through 10.1.3, but this failed as well. These machines are spread between 4 different offices and I am hoping there is a solution besides reloading the software from scratch (the disks and product keys stay with the computers). The specific error I receive says - "Error 1334. The file 'wcfirefoxextn.dll' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in cabinet file 'Data1.cab'. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package."I have redownloaded the install package a few times
