546 posts New York Crysis (Error 1334) What Gives? First off, allow me to say hello to you all here; I've been an on again off again lurker for a few months and once this problem arose I decided now was as good of a time as any to join up. On to the problem at hand - I just error 1334 the file qbw32pro exe cannot be installed made the jump to 7 this past Friday and while everything is as great as I can remember since using the RC, I'm having a problem I've never had before: Crysis, or rather the 1.2 patch (even the 1.1) absolutely refuses to install due to the aforementioned error in the thread's title. I've tried/done everything I could find on the matter and nothing has worked. I can play the game just fine, I haven't edited any files, PunkBuster is installed, and everything else is in good-working order. W7 is up to date, as are my graphic drivers and everything else. It's beginning to irritate the living hell out of me considering I've never had this problem in XP (32-bit) before. Here's the prompt for reference sake: Any and all help is greatly appreciated. I just googled "error 1334 crysis" without the quotes and found it helps to take all of the contents of the DVD and put them on your hard drive. Uninstall Crysis and reinstall it using the hard drive installer. Its important that you dont install it using AutorunCD, but the one that says "setup" to avoid a CD key error. After all that though you should be able to install the patches with a clean Crysis install.Crysis has way too damn many anti-piracy checks for a game that supposedly exceeded expectations according to EA. The problem is that the files cannot be altered at all in order to install a patch. I wonder if Cryteks piracy complaints are all BS since they obviously had so many checks in place ahead of time. You cant even start it without the DVD in the drive sigh.Anyways make sure to take your saved games and put them in another folder before uninstalling so you dont lose them; then putem back when youre done.BoardsCrysisError

01/20/2005 Software Deployment Package Development Hi, Im trying to patch my Administrative installation of Office 2003. I have downloded the full patch of Office 2003 SP1 (Office2003SP1-kb842532-fullfile-enu.exe) I extracted the msp-files with the command "Office2003SP1-kb842532-fullfile-enu.exe /c" After that, I used the following line to patch the AIP "msiexec /a d:\dev\pro11.msi /p d:\updates\mainsp1ff.msp TRANSFORMS=MsOffice2003.mst" Everything look to being great.. I also added the two other patches as well : "msiexec /a d:\dev\OWC11.msi /p d:\updates\OWCsp1ff.msp" "msiexec /a d:\dev\OWC10.msi /p d:\updates\OWC102003sp1ff.msp" Then I take a client that there isnt any office on and in the command typ: "msiexec /i d:\dev\pro11.msi TRANSFORMS=MsOffice2003.mst" When it have run and going to the copy session... I get the following error: "Error 1334. The file 'IPMAIN11.AW_1033' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in the cabinet file 'L25612403.cab'. Tgus could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package... As I see it the the last one that probably is the problem (a problem with this package). But the question is.. what!!?? :( And I have looked into the L25612403.cab and the file IPMAIN11.AW_1033 aint there... and the big mystery is that in the "orginal" API before I do the SP1 pach... inside the L25612403.cab, there aint any file there either, but that installation works.... 0 Comments [ + ] Show Comments Comments Please log in to comment Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,so that the conversation will remain readable. Answers 0 you can get this if you add files using a transform and then don't copy all of the cab files to the media source. the MST will generate its own cab files if files are added to the installation. It won't attempt to add to the original CAB.
