I am running xp pro sp3 and office 2007 was in place at the time of the attempted install. It was treating as an upgrade install. Uninstall Office 2007 and Office 2010 by using the appropriate Fixit tools at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301. Then re-boot and install Office 2010. If you have only the in-place upgrade version of Office 2010, then re-boot,re-install Office 2007, re-boot, and re-install the Office2010 upgrade. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package. Are you using an AIP installation? Are you using a DVD?Are you connecting to a network resource? 01/20/2005 Software Deployment Package Development Hi, Im trying to patch my Administrative installation of Office 2003. I have downloded the full patch of Office 2003 SP1 (Office2003SP1-kb842532-fullfile-enu.exe) I extracted the msp-files with the command "Office2003SP1-kb842532-fullfile-enu.exe http://www.itninja.com/question/error-1334-when-patching-office-sp1 /c" After that, I used the following line to patch the AIP "msiexec /a d:\dev\pro11.msi /p d:\updates\mainsp1ff.msp TRANSFORMS=MsOffice2003.mst" Everything look to being great.. I also added the two other patches as well : "msiexec /a d:\dev\OWC11.msi /p d:\updates\OWCsp1ff.msp" "msiexec /a d:\dev\OWC10.msi /p d:\updates\OWC102003sp1ff.msp" Then I take a client that there isnt any office on and in the command typ: "msiexec /i d:\dev\pro11.msi TRANSFORMS=MsOffice2003.mst" When it have run and going to the copy session... error 1334 I get the following error: "Error 1334. The file 'IPMAIN11.AW_1033' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in the cabinet file 'L25612403.cab'. Tgus could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package... As I see it the the last one that probably is the problem (a problem with this package). But the question is.. what!!?? :( And I have looked into the L25612403.cab and error 1334 the the file IPMAIN11.AW_1033 aint there... and the big mystery is that in the "orginal" API before I do the SP1 pach... inside the L25612403.cab, there aint any file there either, but that installation works.... 0 Comments [ + ] Show Comments Comments Please log in to comment Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,so that the conversation will remain readable. Answers 0 you can get this if you add files using a transform and then don't copy all of the cab files to the media source. the MST will generate its own cab files if files are added to the installation. It won't attempt to add to the original CAB.
