got a virus tried to get rid of it and computer wont start now! I have been told to make A LiveCD (whatever that is). I was told to download Ultimate Boot CD to burn a ISO file. what do i do know, i dont know what to put on the cd or what? Just want a simple step-by-step tut on how to do this. PM me for skype details Dorianking07-22-2012, 09:25 PMThe question is, are you willing to let go of all the stuff you currently have on the computer and just reformat or do you require that the computer be able to start up again and rid of the virus. First option being obviously easier. grandxwc07-22-2012, 09:26 PMI dont mind loosing all my stuff i didnt have much, will i have to reinstall windows? Dorianking07-22-2012, 09:28 PMYes you would have to. Well to begin with, viruses don't cause your hardware to failure. The most it can do is over-ride your system and make your fans in the computer run into overdrive killing it. This leaves 3 options, either he killed your CPU fan, your GPU fan or your Hard drive. You will have to somehow get someone else's part and try each one seperately and determine which one the virus killed. Like I said, the chance of the virus ACTUALLY damaging your hardware is very small so I feel that you didn't get your virus and one of the parts on your computer just died, probably the hard-drive. omendamo07-22-2012, 09:31 PMYes you will. Grats on your 69th post ;) Myriadic07-22-2012, 09:33 PMburn http://www.hiren.info/pages/bootcd as a live cd use http://pcsupport.about.com/od/toolsofthetrade/ht/burnisofile.htm to learn how pop the cd in after you burn it as an ISO and restart your comp.
