Processes include taking a Picvideo avi, either captured video or targa file animation, like 19 quality, encoding to MPEG-2 using Tmpgenc, using Sony DVD Architect Studio 2.0 to encode to DVD and burn. Have used two different types of media Talon (or Arco Circle) and Optodisc. From hardware error spindle what I've read from others is the media may not be the problem. During the burn these errors occur and fail the burn: **** 'SFMMCX'-(17) 'atapi'-(0) -'SONY DVD RW DRU-540A 1.0a'-(1) Module sfmmcx.cpp Line 1639 A hardware error occurred. I've tried switching the drive IDE cable, but this did not fix it. Does anyone know what might be causing this? Is it the drive or Motherboard? Perhaps a driver error?
devices. While we make an effort to describe the more common codes in the software itself, not all codes are shown that way. Also, other publisher's software will often simply give out a code with little or no explanation. There are two forms that these codes are displayed by nearly all software:Sense key, Sense Code, Additional Code. An example of this is 5 11 00 or 5/11/00.Sense Code and Additional Code alone. For example 11 00.InfinaDyne software uses the latter format. The Most Common Error CodesThe following are the most common error codes that are encountered by all CD and DVD software.02 00Sector not found. There is not enough information on the disc to locate the sector being requested.06 00Sector not found. The location where the sector should be was found, but the information from the sector header describing it could not be read.11 00Uncorrectable error reading data. This indicates that there are errors that cannot be corrected by the multiple layers of error correction present on the disc.21 00End of recorded area reached. The sector cannot be read because the drive believes nothing is written at that location.30 00Incompatible media. A DVD+RW disc is inserted in a DVD-RW drive or something similar to that.64 00This is officially "Illegal mode for track" but actually is used to represent situations where a sector cannot be read because of errors reading the sector header information.Important notes:Many of the codes here originated from SCSI devices and have limited, if any applicability to ATAPI, USB and FireWire devices todayJust because there is a code defined for something does not mean the code can be issued by all devices. Many devices return "generic" codes with the Additional Code set to 00 when a more descriptive code would be appropriate.Sense KeySense CodeAdd.
