Unfortunately, my client won't have any broadband for a week and we're tapping into next door's router temporarily. The broadband we are "borrowing" is with Talk Talk with a Thompson router and my client has an eight user SBS 2003 network. I will be able to open port 25 https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/27188525/Hardware-error-replies-on-SBS-2003-when-I-try-to-ping-anything.html for the Exchange Server however, I don't want to mess about with the router further than this. The router is set up as a DHCP server and, although I would normally disable this feature, the other company may need it set up this way for them. I thought this would be easy as the router has the same IP as my clients 2wire and each computer connects perfectly to the Internet using the router IP as gateway and DNS server. However, I can't get the server on the Internet or to communicate with the other PCs. If I ping anything internally I get "hardware error" replies. I have ran the Internet connection wizard but I do not know the DNS server IPs so left this blank.
