Webdav Redirector
the following scenario: 4 IIS 7.5 sites; (1) an anonymous ftp site; (2) an anonymous WebDAV site (pointing to the same disklocation as the anonymous ftp); (3) a secure ftp(FPTES) site (port 22)and (4) a secure WebDAV site (pointing to the same disk location as the FTPES site). The secure sites all use a the operation being requested was not performed because the user was not authenticated self-signed certificate (obviously we won't run with this in production, just for testing). The first 3 work absolutely fine; anonymous ftp works like a dream, WebDAV (Windows 7) can access the equivalent http siteeasily, and FileZilla can link up perfectly to the FTPES site. Site 4 however only partly works; I can access it over https through a browser(even- as tested yesterday- runnning on port 666) but WebDAV connections just don't work from my Windows 7 box (in fact- WebDAV doesn't even work from the server itself and by default our endpoint firewalls are switched off on the domain, so it's not a firewall issue). The sequence of events is: << net use u: https://x.x.x.x:666 /user:

lot of problems and fixed them and now I'm stuck. When
Webdav Network Name Cannot Be Found
I try to authenticate my network drive with the Windows 7 Webdav feature it will not authenticate. net use webdav Here is everything I've done. 1.) Attempted to install OwnCloud found out I was running PHP 5.2 2.) Get PHP 5.3, Remove OwnCloud and reinstall it. 3.) https://forums.iis.net/t/1176106.aspx?WebDAV+over+SSL Played around with OwnCloud and notice in the contacts menu there was a SQL error, I looked at it and it looked like it was just trying to find a contact and failed to find one so it outputted an error. so I added a contact and the error went away. 4.) Try to map https://apps.owncloud.com/kb/?kbid=882 a network drive So I went and edited the registry and edited the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WebClient\Parameters\BasicAuthLevel from 1 to 2 Then I went into my services and found that WebServices was disabled. So I turned it on then I decided to restart it. I double checked my registry to make sure the BasicAuthLevel was still what I put it to. (2) 4a.)I tried logging in and I couldn't authenticate. 4b.) I then found out my address(folder) needs to look like \\mywebsite.com\OwnCloud\files\webdav.php instead of http://www.mywebsite.com/owncloud/files/webdav.php 4c.) So I still cannot get it to authenticate so I got to mywebsite.com/owncloud/files/webdav.php in my web browser and see a few SQL errors. There errors are: Warning: file_get_contents(/home/dash3k3/public_html/OwnCloud/apps/files/appinfo/info.xml) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/dash3k3/public_html/OwnCloud/lib/app.php on line 322 Warning: file_get_contents(/home/dash3k3/public_html/OwnCloud/apps/settings/appinfo/info.xml) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/dash3k3/public_html/OwnCloud/lib/app.php on line 322 Sabre_DAV_Exception_NotAuthenticated No basic authentication headers were found 1.5.4 (Both logged and not logged in) So I decided to add a
download a browser that supports JavaScript, or enable it if it's disabled (i.e. NoScript). It works exactly as advertised and with each new version the interface get faster and more usable. While the web interface is great I have been mounting via webdav on my Linux Mint laptop and my CentOS (with a GUI) VNC server. net use This is great, the integration with the file system makes it very simple to copy/paste or click and drag files from one desktop to the Owncloud server. I have been struggling however to get a similar integration functioning with Windows 7/8. While I have the sync client installed on my Windows 8 desktop, which works flawlessly, on my Windows 7 PC I want to access the files without syncing the operation being the entire directory. I've been looking on the forums and most people are saying just use a third-party webdav client. I was hoping I could just do what I did with my Linux desktops and get it to be a mounted drive or network location. So my question is two fold. Who is using or has used OwnCloud? Who has been able to successfully mount their webdav share via Windows file explorer? Reply Quote 2 scottalanmiller Service Provider last edited by NTG uses ownCloud. A dropbox/box replacement? Or do you use it to collaborate and share files with clients? Which I guess are things dropbox/box can also do. So I I assume it is a dropbox/box replacement. I will be very interested in seeing if you can get this going. Reply Quote 0 coliv
