I am having issues when I try to access some Windows 2008 Servers as well as some Virtual Servers running Windows 2008. I have been able https://support.software.dell.com/kb/31488 to connect to Windows 2003 Servers fine without an issue. I am using a Domain Admin service account to connect but get the following issue: Message: The user name and/or password supplied was not accepted by the server "SERVERNAME". Connection failed for SERVERNAME. Details: Windows Services Datasource: The service manager on "SERVERNAME" is not accessible. Time: 1/12/2012 12:39:09 PM If I use the local Admin account I get the following: Windows Performance Counter Datasource: You have already https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/190212-server-monitoring-spotlight-on-windows-issue connected to \\SERVERNAME using different logon details. Subsequent connections using different details are not supported by Windows. Either connect using the same details, or do not specify a user name and password (Windows will use the existing connection.) Error 1219: Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more than one user name, are not allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the server or shared resource and try again Any thoughts? Disconnect all previous connections to the server or shared resource and try again. Sometimes it is difficult to determine which process is making the connection. You can check by using Process Explorer (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653) and using the Find > Find Handle feature. You can then search for IP address and the hostname of the computer to try and find any other processes with open handles to the target machine. Attached is a screenshot showing open
