This is an unsupported combination. However Reader X and Acrobat X are a supported configuration. If/When you uninstall Reader 9 you will need to re-install Acrobat X. Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 2. Re: Arcrobat X "out of memory" error message Bill@VT Dec 22, 2010 6:56 AM (in response to MichaelKazlow) There may also be an issue with a full TEMP folder. Try emptying the TEMP folder and see if that helps. Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 3. Join Now Hello gang, I have a law office that is using Adobe Acrobat to add Bates numbers to PDFs and when the document is over 600 pages Acrobat will fail with an Out of Memory message. I have been on the phone with Adobe Support 3 times in the last week and the first solution was to purchase version 10 https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/130353-adobe-acrobat-running-out-of-memory which did not work. The next solution was to convert the version 9 PDFs to version 10 PDFs it worked once. Now today they have increased the paging file again (this was one when troubleshooting the first time) and it has now worked on a Version 9 and Version 10 PDFs but we will see as the employee gives a good test tomorrow. I am really feeling that the program has a memory handling problem and the problem will occur again if the PDFs get to 1000 pages or more. I am thinking of getting a Win7 64 BIT with 8 GB RAM system and version 10 to head off problems before they start to occur again. So what does the group think, have any of you seen this before and fixed it? Oh the current system is a XP Pro , Duo with 4 GB reporting as the typical 3.45 GB RAM Reply Subscribe RELATED TOPICS: Who has adobe acrobat? She is out of running the following; Adobe XI Standard v11.0.09 Office 2013 Home & Business Windows 7 Pro 64bit with 8GB of ram She uses fairly large documents (150 plus pages). But even printing one single page in the middle of the document still gives us that error message. I have removed the software and then reinstalled but that still did not fix the problem. Any ideas of what is going on? 0 Question by:johnny181 Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 89 Active today Best Solution out of memory byJohn Hurst I use Acrobat 11 Standard with Office 2013 and I do not have any problems. Adobe out of memory error and Task bar hiding Started by David Flint-Johnson , 01 December 2010 - 10:37 AM Login to Reply 3 replies to this topic David Flint-Johnson Members #1 David Flint-Johnson 23 posts Posted 01 December 2010 - 10:37 AM Got a couple of problems since upgrading all our staff to v12.0.3 of the online client :(1. User who intensively access PDF files via a web based app are getting a couple of different errors toward the end of the working day: either: Adobe Reader - Out of Memory or: Adobe PDF Document - The Adobe Acrobat/Reader can not be used to view PDF files in a web browser, Adobe Acrobat/Reader version 8 or 9 is required2. When launching seamless published apps users are reporting that the app sometimes the app covers the task bar or the bottom of the app window is behind the task bar.the second problem is more of an annoyance but the first is becoming a real issue for us... :(Our environment is:All clients are Win XP SP3 runing v12.0.3 online client fullAll Servers are 2003 enterpriseWe have 2 farms one PS4.0 and one XenApp 5.0 both of which are pretty much up to date on hotfixes and patchinginstalled Adobe reader has been updated to 9.4 to try and resolve on the XenApp 5.0 farmthe PS4.0 farm runs Adobe reader 9.1IE 8 throughoutthis all appears to be linked to the v12.0.3 client upgrade - we have tested the 12.1 client and it doesnt fix it :(the problem is occuring on both farms.I have read some suggestions that opening PDFs within IE causes a problem where the acroread32 process doesnt release memory until all instances of IE are closed
