Join Now Hello gang, acrobat dc out of memory I have a law office that is using Adobe Acrobat to add Bates numbers to PDFs and when the document is over 600 pages Acrobat will fail with an Out of Memory adobe acrobat xi pro out of memory message. I have been on the phone with Adobe Support 3 times in the last week and the first solution was to purchase version 10 which did not work. The next solution was to convert the version 9 PDFs to version 10 PDFs it worked once. Now today they have increased the paging file again (this was one when troubleshooting the first time) and it

has now worked on a Version 9 and Version 10 PDFs but we will see as the employee gives a good test tomorrow. I am really feeling that the program has a memory handling problem and the problem will occur again if the PDFs get to 1000 pages or more. I am thinking of getting a Win7 64 BIT with 8 GB RAM system and version 10 to head off problems before they start to occur again. So what does the group think, have any of you seen this before and fixed it? Oh the current system is a XP Pro , Duo with 4 GB reporting as the typical 3.45 GB RAM Reply Subscribe RELATED TOPICS: Who has adobe acrobat? Your system may require 50 MB of virtual memory or more to scan the image.Note: If this file is being appended to a PDF document, and you use "Save", the scan remains uncompressed. If the PDF is saved using "Save As", the scan will be compressed.Tip: Run a Repair Acroat Installation, get https://acrobatusers.com/forum/pdf-creation/ocr-recognition-error/ the latest updates if necessary.Tip: Check your virtual memory settings.Suggestion: Scan the paper doc as a seperate PDF file and add it to the master PDF file. However, it does not read back correctly and does not find any OCR suspects. Is there a solution to this? I have several scanned pdf's that are grouped into one pdf that need to be made accessible. Computers Old Articles Old Index The Windows 7 Pagefile And Running Without One October 10, 2011 By Eric (a.k.a. TweakHound) The topic of running without a pagefile is a popular one. Unfortunately most of the https://tweakhound.com/2011/10/10/the-windows-7-pagefile-and-running-without-one/ discussion is usually based around anecdotal evidence. This article aims to provide you with the information you need to find out if you need a pagefile and provides benchmarks on my results of running with and http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21506926 without a pagefile. *Warning - This is a long article with lots of information. You may want to bookmark it for later. My Anecdotal Evidence I have been running Windows 7 without a pagefile for out of 11 months now on my main computer. It has been part of my testing and research into Windows 7's memory management. I have not had a single issue in running without a pagefile Main Computer Specs OS - Windows 7 Home Premium x64 dual-boot with openSUSE 11.4 Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-EP35C-DS3R Processor - Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 (Yorkfield), 2666 MHz Memory - 8 GB, G.Skill F2-8500CL5-2GBPK, 4096 MB (DDR2-800 out of memory DDR2 SDRAM) Video - Radeon HD 5750 Sound - onboard Realtek Network - Realtek Gigabit Hard Drives: Intel X25-M Solid State Drive, 80GB SATA II (G2) WD VelociRaptor WD3000HLFS WD WD Caviar Black WD1001FALS Why I Started This Experiment 1 - I had 8GB of RAM. 2 - I only gave my Windows 7 partition 30GB of space on the SSD so space is an issue. 3 - There are arguments and opinions all over the web on this issue. 4 - To see what would happen. Just because I am able to run error free without a pagefile doesn't mean that it is an optimal solution. I had been meaning to benchmark the performance of not having a pagefile and it is high time I got around to it. *** This article only applies to Windows 7 *** Important Notes Before We Begin *I have overly simplified the discussion here to make it easier for the non-Geek to understand. So, please cut me some slack here Geeks! Is it called the: Pagefile, Page File, Paging File, or Swap File? Short answer: Any / All of the above. In Windows the file is called pagefile.sys. Microsoft documentation usually uses "pagefile" "paging file" and "page file". That documentation

Answer This document describes various files and procedures that are used to configure and optimize IBM FileNet Image Services (IS) shared memory. Shared memory configuration for IBM FileNet Image Services Tool Kit (ISTK) is covered in Technote #1507092. Shared memory is allocated in units called segments. The segments are accessible to IS processes by “mapping” them to virtual memory addresses within the process. The number of segments and the size of each segment are configurable on all platforms. On Windows systems, the addresses at which the segments are mapped are also configurable. The IS code that maintains shared memory is contained in the SysV library file. Tech note content outline: Section one describes various CONFIGURATION FILES used to control shared memory on IS. This material may be used as a reference for sections two and three. Section two outlines GENERAL CONFIGURATION PROCEDURES that apply to both UNIX and Windows systems. Section three details specific WINDOWS CONFIGURATION PROCEDURES. ======================================================================= SECTION ONE: CONFIGURATION FILES ======================================================================= Configuration File Name: NUM_SEG ("Number of Shared Memory Segments") Location: UNIX: /fnsw/local/sd/1/NUM_SEG Windows: \fnsw_loc\sd\1\NUM_SEG Initial Software Release Versions: IS 4.0 SP5 FP10 IS 4.1.1 FP6 IS 4.1.2 FP2 IS 4.2.0 GA Description: The NUM_SEG file contains a single ASCII numeric value representing the total number of shared memory segments that are allocated by IS. The file is automatically created and updated. If it is accidentally removed, IS creates a new NUM_SEG at the next recycle. The file can be manually edited and modified to change its value (but only when ALL
