But now your best bet is to reinstall tha game for everyone in your family. The root cause of OOS is that something in the core game files is missing or has been altered, and this could have been caused by some kind of interference during the game's installation. Out of sync problem Started by Nick The Conquerour, May 19, 2014 15 posts in this topic Nick The Conquerour 0 Idle Villager Members 0 16 posts Posted May 19, 2014 Hello everyone, Since Decmeber 2013, I've been experiencing this error: "out of sync. exit and try again".Usually it happens in the first minutes of the game or a bit later sometimes. out of It happens at ALL games, and EVERY mods (Treaty, Scenario, Supremacy...) As it disconnects me, it disconnets others. Here is what I suspected -Speed: My speed of Internet was 8M, it is 10M but nothing changed. -Ping: It is above 150 most of the time. -Virus: I made lots of antiviruses with no effect. - Firewall: The game is allowed. The other possibilty is what I think the most plausible- somewhere near the end of 2013, I downloaded a fake AoE3: Napoleonic out of sync era via the internet. I noticed that the flags of the game have changed and the portrais of guys (Nassau, Napoleon...) have changed. I believe that my game was infected by this thing. I uninstalled and reinstalled it 3 times, turn low the graphics. But no results. I'm completely out of solutions. I can't play at single game, I don't have fun as before. I contacted other sites like Microsoft. No answer. Hope you can help, Nick (Sazito on ESO). Once the OoS started occuring, you can copy the savegame and restart sometimes - with sometimes people randomly crashing out of the game - but it will soon crash again. Once the first OoS occurs, you just know the game is ruined and you can just as well start over right away.A while back (I suppose 1 yr ago still with Guild II Pirates) , we also tried switching off the forced-sync option which resulted in us playing in totally different worlds after a while.I understand that this seems to be an error that occurs due to multiple reasons, and you go and fix them one-by-one. I reckon that it's hard if not even impossible, to grasp and change the very design fault which causes the game to go out of sync in the first place? However, I have the feeling that this and this only might be the key to really fixing the OoS problem once and for all - you can't run after endless little (?) bugs, each of which causes this big problem to arise.Maybe a radical approach to the client-server model would be appropriate - if you suppose that people play on LAN with very good connections and very little latency, maybe sort of letting the server do everything, even the mouseclick and the following reaction to it could be handled by the server, degrading the clients only to rendering the graphics?I know this is possibly not helpful, I just felt I had to ask whether anything like this seems to be possible and may be done anytime in the future.
