Up until yesterday, all users could navigate public report folders in InfoView and they could see and/or refresh their reports / objects of all types - Webi, crystal reports, excel etc.... Today, however, we see two things happening from InfoView 1) All Users can log into InfoView, but cannot set any InfoView preferences. They get this error message: Sorry, you do not have the right to 'Modify the rights users have to objects' (ID: for 'bouserid' (ID: 2554). Please contact your administrator if you require this right. and 2) All Users can login to InfoView and see public report folders and can view Crystal reports , Excel and Word documents ok . The issue is that when they click on a webi report they get the following error messsage dialog window: OPEN DOCUMENT An error occurred when trying to set preferences. Please contact your Business Objects administrator. (Error: INF) I have reviewed all CMC group access levels at the folder, universe, connection and application/Infoview and application/Webi and can see no issues..... The administrator account can log into InfoView and does NOT have any of the problems mentioned above - everything is ok. Your help is greatly appreciated! Back to to
January 13, 2011 by GM Symptom: Upon launching a webi report, there is a popup error box as below and the webi report failed to load. Open Document with (Error: INF) error message. Cause: Because the tomcat has been restarted or any other reason, the user's session has become invalid, but IE caches it. When the server receives http://www.forumtopics.com/busobj/viewtopic.php?t=116109 the request to retrieves the webi report, it'll validate the access right based on the passed in session information. The validation fails naturally due to the invalid session. Solution: In IE, goto file->New session and login back to BO to establish a new session with the https://xuguoming.wordpress.com/2011/01/13/open-document-error-inf/ server. Like this:Like Loading...
