privileges can see it. Leetmaster last edited by Hi, I'm working on a project c1083 error in visual studio with Visual Studio 2005 (Win XP SP3 32bit, Qt 4.6.2, Qt Add-in 1.1.5) and I need to add a new QObject qt moc file not generated visual studio class. I'm not sure the problem is directly connected to Qt, but when I try to build the class , VS2005 return me this error: bq. 1>moc_classTest.cpp 1>c1xx : fatal error C1083: Cannot open source file:
C1xx File Visual Studio
'.\generatedfiles\debug\moc_classTest.cpp': No such file or directory 1>moc_classTest.cpp In other words it seems that VS2005 can't create the relative moc (it's not a file system's right problem). Here's class code: @#include

Seems "this":http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTBUG-4756 bug report will help you. Reply Quote 0 Frank last edited by Does your .cpp file include the moc file? If yes, try to remove the include. Reply Quote 0 DenisKormalev last edited by Frank, don't think it is the reason, because after Q_OBJECT removing all compiling ok for author. Reply Quote 0 goetz last edited by Did you set the MOC variable in your .pro file? http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html Reply Quote 0 blex last edited by Was moc-file generated at all by MOC? Was MOC tool called from MSVC during the build (the corresponding message should present in compilation log)? Is MOC_DIR set in the *.pro file? I've tried to follow the instruction founded in the Bug Report to resolve the problem ("Opening the include directories for editing (without actually changing anything) and resaving them in Visual Studio corrected the problem."), but I didn't understand what exactly I need to do for "open include directories" ( I'm a quite new Visual Studio user :( ). It https://forum.qt.io/topic/2083/moc-problem gave me an 'already defined in .obj' error and since then that .cpp file was like binded with my project. (I understood that's not the way, the answer here helped me with the already defined) If I exclude the .cpp file from the project, remove it from the directory and remove the #include line it still looks for it: c1xx : fatal error C1083: Cannot open source file: 'std.cpp': No such file or directory Diagnostic: Outputs for D:\MY DOCUMENTS\C#\PROJECT\D3DTESTC++\COWS AND BULLS\CBMAIN.CPP|D:\MY DOCUMENTS\C#\PROJECT\D3DTESTC++\COWS AND BULLS\STD.CPP: (TaskId:15) http://stackoverflow.com/questions/16422883/error-c1083-cannot-open-source-file-shouldnt-be-looking-for-the-file-at-all It shouldn't be looking for the std.cpp at all, I removed it! So is there a way I can reset the project and recompile so that the program doesn't look for it? I already tried Rebuild and Clear -> Build Project c++ share|improve this question edited Jul 6 '13 at 16:10 asked May 7 '13 at 15:26 Bonnev 4161521 Have you tried the "Clean-up solution" in the Generate menu ? –JBL May 7 '13 at 15:28 I can't find any Generate menu, I'm using Visual C++ Express 2010. There is a Clean Solution in the Build menu and I've tried it, doesn't work. –Bonnev May 7 '13 at 15:35 Are you sure you haven't deleted the file itself? To me the error message is saying that the file is in the project but not on the disk. –john May 7 '13 at 15:42 I'm sure I HAVE deleted the file, from the project and from the directory, the file is now history to everyone except the project and I'm wondering why.. –Bonnev May 7 '13 at 15:45 1 Have you excluded the file from the project or have you deleted the file from the project? I seem to remember than VC++ 2010 gives you both options. I would recommend delete especially since you have also deleted the file itself. –john May 7 '13 at 15:53 | show 5 more comments 7 Answers 7 active oldest votes up vote 6 down vote When I ran a
