I have even repackaged the same app a second time around, the same error message error 1334 solidworks appears but on a different file. One was an .exe and the other a .dll. They have no com settings, no file extensions. I have removed both files from the MSI & re-added them, same error message appears. I have even remove install error 1334 the file from the package, but the error appears on a different file in the package. MSI to your local drive and executing from there? Just a few suggestions, hope it helps. magpie08-11-2002, 11:55 PMThe package is compressed. The package is compiled on one PC, then I have shared this directory, then connected to it from the other PC. (How I normally do it) I then have copied it to the local drive, but it still isn't working Ughhh! nicholas_ong08-12-2002, 08:12 AMI feel for ya, btw what application is this? AlaksSevugan08-20-2002, 04:12 PMWhat is the name of the file that the MSi is displaying an error for? Did you make sure that file is in the cab? magpie09-09-2002, 07:04 PMThis error is produced when you have files that are in components and are not marked as 'key files' being copied to the [installdir]. For each error that occurs, you need to make a new component, add the file to it that is causing the errors, set it as a key file. Also, put the new component into the setup area as well. This will resolve the 1334 error messages that are occurring. This then produced another similiar error when building the cab file. I had to rebuild the cab file in the uncompressed mode, as the compressed mode did not work correctly. Harley022610-03-2003, 03:17 PMI have seen this before and it should have nothing to do with whether or not the file is a key file. Your cab file is more than likely corrupted. Not sure when it is getting corrupted but it definitely. Your en

This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package. This is the background Create an .msi and include a file, you can call it BasPath.ini. This file is unic for every bransch. We have one Base product and about 9 bransches. The file BasPath.ini keeps https://community.flexerasoftware.com/archive/index.php?t-100115.html importend information for each bransch. Make a transform and replase the BasPath.ini to the version for the bransch. (Drop the file in the transform and add the new one.) Install, and you will enconter MSI error 1334. What does this error try to tell me Then I make an transform, there are some interneal cabinets created in the tabel Cabs. This cabs are the same as the components in the http://www.itninja.com/question/error-1334 .msi. Every cab will therefore have a key. This error try to tell me, that it can not found the key in the Cab 5. I.E. the key of the component there BasPath.ini is the key can not be found. To solwe this I hade to add a dummy file to my .msi and set the key on the dummy, then everything worked without any problems. I have a software installation package which contains the .msi file, a CAB file and some MST files. I wanted to modify the cabinet file. So I extracted the cab file using CABARC utility. But before making any msi error 1334 changes to the extracted files, just for testing the utility I removed the original cab file from the current directory. And created a new cab file from the files extracted from the original cab file, again using CABARC utility. But now if I run the .msi file, it shows the error: ERROR:1334. The file "XYZ" cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in the cabinet file Data1.cab. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package. But the file is present in the cabinet file I can see that. The same installer is working fine with the original cab file. I have tried different compression types (MSZIP, LZX:<15...21>) as well, but none of them work. I have not removed/added any file in the cabinet file. Am I doing anything wrong or if there is any other information that a cabinet file stores ? Receiving the error 1334 when applying the 10.1.3 update. swankydope Jul 11, 2012 3:54 PM I had the same error code when updating on multiple systems on our network. Most (except for 1) of the computers are windows 7 systems. We're using Acrobat X Standard and I was updating from 10.0.0 to 10.1.3. I ran the update on 30 systems and only had issues on 5 of them (1 windows xp). The other 25 system were running windows xp. I can not find any reliable information online on what this error means or how to fix it. I did try a suggestion from another site to try each incremental update from 10.0.1 through 10.1.3, but this failed as well. These machines are spread between 4 different offices and I am hoping there is a solution besides reloading the software from scratch (the disks and product keys stay with the computers). The specific error I receive says - "Error 1334. The file 'wcfirefoxextn.dll' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in cabinet file 'Data1.cab'. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package."I have redownloaded the install package a few times and still received the error. I have also attempted to use the update function within acrobat x. 3539Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. Show 4 replies 1.
