Http Status 404 The Requested Resource Is Not Available
Jayavardhan Ncbr Greenhorn Posts: 9 posted 5 years ago Hi,
Http Status 404 - Type Status Report Message Description The Requested Resource Is Not Available.
Check whether your tomcat service is running or not in services.msc Maria Anjum Greenhorn Posts: 7 posted http status 404 - servlet is not available 5 years ago 2 Well this problem is resolved. My tomcat server was running properly even i was getting 404 error. The reason behind this is the missing file http://stackoverflow.com/questions/16340711/tomcat-http-status-404 like index.jsp which was not compied properly into my eclipse working directory. After coping ROOt folder from tomcat to eclipse .metadat folder the error is gone. I have copied following text from website http://www.coreservlets.com/Apache-Tomcat-Tutorial/tomcat-7-with-eclipse.html which is quite helpful. Eclipse forgets to copy the default apps (ROOT, examples, etc.) when it creates a Tomcat folder inside the Eclipse workspace. http://coderanch.com/t/40/87666/HTTP-Status-error-tomcat Go to C:\apache-tomcat-7.0.8\webapps, R-click on the ROOT folder and copy it. Then go to your Eclipse workspace, go to the .metadata folder, and search for "wtpwebapps". You should find something like your-eclipse-workspace\.metadata\.plugins\org.eclipse.wst.server.core\tmp0\wtpwebapps (or .../tmp1/wtpwebapps if you already had another server registered in Eclipse). Go to the wtpwebapps folder, R-click, and paste ROOT (say "yes" if asked if you want to merge/replace folders/files). Then reload http://localhost/ to see the Tomcat welcome page. Now iam facing otherproblem with Axis2 which is not dispalying my service and giving error : cannot be cast to org.apache.axis2.deployment.DeploymentClassLoader Any help? found I was facing this error for some good reason I never understood until I went through the following url.http://www.coderanch.com/t/87666/Tomcat/HTTP-Status-error-tomcat The issue is that http://ozinisle.blogspot.com/2011/12/error-starting-tomcat-server-in-eclipse.html my server wont simply start with the error mentioned in the title. Now I am glad that I got it to work some how. All that I did was follow the following tips provided in the above mentioned url>On Server tab >Select Tomcat Server (the one you are trying to start) > Right Click - Select Open > Go to section Server Location >Selct Radio button not available for Use Tomcat Installation >Set Server Path to//:the_tomcat_home_location >Set Deploy Path to//:the_tomcat_home_locationAll that I did was change the details mentioned in the highlighted section in the following screen shot of the apache server configuration page Hope this helps some one J Posted by Karthikeyan Alagirisamy at 12/16/2011 03:19:00 PM Labels: Eclipse, Tomcat 1 comment: Eshu SharmaApril 22, 2016 at 4:39 PMits not working...ReplyDeleteAdd commentLoad more... http status 404 Newer Post Older Post Home Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom) Page Views Search This Blog About Me Karthikeyan Alagirisamy A common man with usual dreams like catching a flight to Pandora View my complete profile Wish to stay tuned?
