FATAL ERROR: Out of memory - Shuting down So the problem is this, all of a sudden, and after a couple months working with Autocad 2013 and Autocad MEP 2013 on my computer, this message has started to appear every time i try to open the programs, i have no option, fatal error out since when i click to open this message pops up immediately. The idea of being a real memory problem is out of question, since i've been working with both programs for a long time, and especially because i have other programs installed that also demand a lot of memory, and are until now working perfectly, for instance Revit is working pretty well. My computer specification meet the demand of the programs, im running a I7 - 4GB Memory - 1GB Graphic Card, not necessarily the best computer in the world, though completely able to run those programs. I've tried to solve the problem by browsing the web pursuing an answer, among the things i have already tried are uninstalling/installing, creating another windows account, and cleaning regedit to creat a fresh start. None of those has solved my problem. Does anyone here knows or has any idea of what has happened? Has this happened to any of you? Steve Johnson 10 March 2010 10 March 2010AutoCAD 2009, AutoCAD 2010, Bug, Performance Some of the users I support have repeated out-of-memory errors while editing fairly simple drawings. I have some 2010 users who suffer from this problem while others using the same drawings on the same hardware get by without ever seeing it. When swapping users to differerent PCs, the problem seems to follow the user. Despite various experiments, I have no idea what is going on here. Is this happening to you or anybody you work with? Have you managed to work out if there is something that triggers it? Is there a user interface setting or method of drawing that you suspect of being the culprit? Watch Peak & VM Size Columns in vanilla task manager or Virtual Size and working set in the (better) Sysinternals Process Explorer. Have found if Virtual size gets to about 1.8gb in 32 bit OS Autocad will crash, solution there is 64 bit OS Reply Brian Benton 10 March 2010 at 9:20 pm I have one user that is always getting an Out of Memory error. I upped his virtual memory setting and that seems to have helped. Or at least he stopped telling me about it. Reply srlafleur 10 March 2010 at 11:18 pm I have some users who seem to have more trouble than others, in spite of all things being apparently equal. I wonder if some people just don't say anything, just dealing with it? Or maybe some people just have bad computer mojo, because some of their problems seem to go away if I just lay my hands on their computers. I don't know. All I do know is I'm getting really tired of having to deal with the "tools" all the time. It's like a board drafter spending all day sharpening his pencils. Actual productivity seems to get worse with each new version. Reply autocad drawing 11 March 2010 at 2:05 am I have never had this problem before with my autocad program. It has worked perfect for me over the last several years. Reply Curt Moreno 11 March 2010 at 4:32 am It's odd th
