Making this file that small as suggested in that thread is not recommended and that solution was meant for XP that has poor memory management. You should leave the size of the page file at the value that Windows suggest as suitable (optimal). If Windows runs out of (virtual) memory then the OS will crash and with a low value this will happen sooner or later. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2160852 RAM, virtual memory, pagefile, and memory management in Windows http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_memory Read this answer in context 2 Question tools Get email updates when anybody replies. when a solution is found. I am a developer, and this is starting to come up more and more. It mostly happens in IE 6, 7 and 8, and does not mean the browser is out of memory. We ran tests on a freshly booted maching with a newly opened browser and monitored memory useage. Then we used a out of browser process monitor while the pages were loading. The scripts were written by developers who did not check them using multiple browsers. The browser throws an error when the CSS call fails.
