The original problem is explained in the Spoiler. Read it and compare what you are seeing to what is described to see if the issue is the same as mine was. Anywho, a buddy of mine built his first gaming computer, and everything is running smoothly. He wants to play Planetside 2 with me(yay Vanu), so he downloaded it. The problems started when he installed the game. At first, when he started the game it said there was an "incorrect frequency", and it told him to lower his resolution, so he did; to 800x600. It still said that. Next we tried changing the refresh rate he was running on to 70, still didn't work. Then, we uninstalled the game from Steam and re-installed using the Planetside 2 website. In the time it was downloading, he updated his nvidia drivers to the most recent version (1.3.something). When the install completed, upon running the game, it basically said his graphics card was not good enough to run the game. The specs for the game are at least a gtx500 series or more, and he has a gtx560. My other friend that has pretty much an identical build to him can run the game fine, and at almost max settings at 30 FPS. The only thing that I can think of is his old monitor causing this. Its really, really, old, and he is running off of VGA at the moment. Do you guys have any ideas? I came here because I usually get fast, helpful responses. After reading, if you are still having the problem, here is how we fixed it. We resolved the "graphics card not supported" problem by re-installing the game so that when he started it, it said "frequency out of range" again. We basically took a step backwards on purpose. Next, we opened the Planetside 2 launch pad(Do not press play, just get to the point to where it has the large
