PSU. No other hardware changes at all. So, now, I go put the computer back in, plug it in, and it starts to boot up, everything looks good. The 7 startup screen comes up, and then bam "out of frequency range." Now, mind you, I have two monitors. A 22 inch LCD, and a 15 inch LCD. The 22 inch refuses to work AT frequency out of range monitor all, and the 15 turns on, displays the boot screen, then the windows startup screen, then a floating out of range message. So, I tried rebooting in safe mode, same thing. I uninstalled my video card, and plugged the VGA LCD monitor right into the onboard, same damn thing. Any ideas? Check that and read some here if it apply to u too. The message is from the monitor itself, not from the computer. It is advising you that the monitor refresh rate or scan rate exceeds that which the monitor can handle. An interesting issue, since it happens while in the game, but it strongly suggests that either the CPU or the Video card is overheating and causing a reset which is defaulting to the non accepted video output. As games are both CPU and Video intensive it could be either that is causing the problem. http://forums.techguy.org/games/431913-solved-frequency... m 0 l HugoStiglitz 5

Frequency Out Of Range Windows 10
TechSpot Forums Forums TechSpot Core Build a PC Today's Posts Frequency out of range error while using twomonitors ByZanmato114 Oct 6, 2010 Post New Reply About 1 1/2 years ago I bought a 9800 gtx nvidia http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/27186-63-when-boot-computer-frequency-range video card and along with that a power supply to support it. Since then I have been using two monitors without an issue until about a week ago. It started when first opening TF2 for the first time and each monitor went fully black, stayed like that for a while and then on my main monitor (link below) a blue boxed message came up saying "Frequency Out of Range" I rebooted but this http://www.techspot.com/community/topics/frequency-out-of-range-error-while-using-two-monitors.154491/ time It came up as soon as I was asked to enter the password for my user account. It has been like this ever since and the only way I can prevent it is to unplug my second monitor and use my computer like this. I have tried plugging back in the second monitor since then and still the same issue happens, Frequency out of range right before I can enter my password to log on. I can live with using just one monitor but It would be really nice if I was able to use a second one once more. I cannot seem to add a link to the monitor I have however if you google "Gateway product number FPD1976W" It will be the first link. I am currently running Windows Vista Premium and am happy to give anymore System info if asked.
